Georgia Tech: ACCN revenue roughly offsets COVID loses, some furloughs planned - georgia_tech_swagger - 06-27-2020 03:50 PM

Those making more than $150k will be asked to take 16 days unpaid vacation. Revenue is expected to drop 4% if football happens at 50% capacity. That means ACCN increases roughly wash out the COVID red ink so long as football is played in the fall.

Football is not going to have 50% capacity. Odds are better games won't happen than they allow 25 to 60k inside of football stadiums.

Stunning to me how big healthy universities across the country are announcing cuts and furloughs while here in Louisiana - a state that always operates its colleges (except for LSU) on duct-tape and bailing-wire budgets - we've been spared cuts of any kind at all so far.

They didn't cancel football season yet. Wait and see if that happens. Right now they are reclosing the bars and beaches in Texas and Florida because of the virus spikes and mainly blaming the younger generations for not wearing their masks because they think they are invincible - a typical attitude of people that age. We all went through that period. We'll have to see what happens and take it day by day. 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 07-coffee3

That would save many Louisiana schools money, though of course LSU will bleed tens of millions.
