Starting a new content series here at the W&M Sports Blog; we're taking on the daunting task of compiling the greatest W&M Football players of all time.

Stating with RBs and FBs! Check it out below and let us know what you think.

And before you say anything, we chose 3 RBs (essentially 2 "starters" and a high-end third back), and one FB in this first list.

Roll Tribe Roll.

Good article but a couple quick edits to the Robert Green section:

1) Not the Japan Bowl. It was the Epson Ivy Bowl. The Japan Bowl was an entirely different game.

2) The 41-37 game against Lehigh was a loss, not a win.

Reading the article led me to "discover" the the Bills have had four head coaches from W&M. Jack Cloud, Harvey Paul "Stud" Johnson , Marv Levy and now Sean McDermott. I wonder if any other team/college has such a history.

True, but Marv never went to W&M, just coached there. He graduated from Coe College.

Also not seeing Jack Cloud as a Bills coach; per his wiki page (which could be wrong?):

"After retiring from the NFL, Cloud became an assistant coach at William & Mary in 1954. The following year, he joined the United States Navy and was the athletic director and head coach at Naval Station Norfolk (1955–1958). He then joined the staff at the United States Naval Academy, where he had a 22-year career as lightweight coach and assistant varsity coach. After retiring from coaching, Cloud was an associate professor of physical education and special assistant to the director of athletics. He retired from Navy in 1990."
