None of the artifacts were taken and the museum wasn't entered.

I hope they were at least social distancing.

I try not to get too political on here but seriously, how is smashing up the front of the College Football Hall of Fame, or a historical theater in Columbus, Ohio, considered a protest? Call it what it was, a riot.

They are professional protestors

I saw video of the looted gift shop. I was hoping they didn't trash the rest of the museum.

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites across the street on a work trip, and I've been inside the College Football Hall of Fame. It's worth the visit when in Atlanta (once it is repaired).

I saw a good viral clip of some protesters guarding the Waffle House two doors north of the CFB HOF. They were keeping rioters away from Waffle House. 02-13-banana

I hope the CFB HOF gets back to up and running soon. It's a great place to visit.

I heard they took all the Michigan memorabilia. It was only one little item so it was easy to get it out of there. I'm not even sure the Hall of Fame has noticed it missing yet.

I’m against rioting. However, if the P5 breakaway, I’m driving down and joining the looters.

Time to move the College Football Hall of Fame to Texas, where it would be properly protected.

So handed over to Oklahoma every year then?

Same here. Went there a couple of years ago. Nice place. That wall of helmets is something else.

Or kept it in South Bend, where it belonged. :)

Glad that only the gift shop and not the main area was damaged.

I visited the museum in 2017. It's nice enough, but honestly I found the nearby Coca-Cola and CNN attractions significantly more entertaining, and I strongly dislike CNN, LOL. There are some interesting things there but overall it's a rather dry experience, IMO.

Visited it while in South Bend. Enjoyed my experience there. Just awful that it, and so many stores, were damaged and/or destroyed. Completely senseless.

I don’t even know where the hell it is. *Insert Tar Heel fan joke here* Wasn’t it in Birmingham (Hall of Fame Bowl) at some point?

It's in a high profile part of Atlanta, right next to the CNN building and Centennial Park, near the Coca-Cola museum and the Georgia Aquarium. From 1992 - 2014 it was in South Bend and before then from 1978 - 1992 in Ohio.

BTW, as is totally appropriate, LOL, it has a corporate sponsor - it is officially the "Chick-Fil-A College Football Hall of Fame".

The move from South Bend to Atlanta has been a major success, both attendance and revenue have skyrocketed, literally like 10x more or something.

That and everything Nebraska-related from the last 20 years. Suh said it was okay, though, he'll just give them another game-worn jersey.

or in Kings Island Ohio where it used to be.

The CFBHOF left South Bend for the same reason it left Kings Mills, Ohio: lack of attendance.

The College Football Hall of Fame was located in the Cincinnati suburb (right next to Kings Island) almost as long as it was in South Bend.

RE: College Football Hall of Fame vandalized and looted - Poster - 06-02-2020 12:52 AM

Eh, nobody visits the CFB Hall of Fame. I don’t even think most people know it’s located in Atlanta.

I get more upset when a Target or even a 7/11 gets vandalized.
