Horizon Championship: UIC (18-16)/Northern Kentucky (22-9) - IWokeUpLikeThis - 03-10-2020 08:26 AM Steve McClain saved his job last night with a surprising rout of heavy favorite Wright St. Now UIC plays in its first final since 2004. Can he parlay it into an extension tonight? If they win tonight, an outright four NCAA or NIT bids in five years. That's nuts. RE: Horizon Championship: UIC (18-16)/Northern Kentucky (22-9) - Love and Honor - 03-10-2020 09:19 PM NKU wins. Shame since the last few years we've seen some good March Madness stories come out of the Chicago area between Northwestern and Loyola; UIC really struggles for support so they could've really used a win. Though that would pale in comparison to the absolute miracle that would be Chicago State somehow making the big dance; the Cougars have gone winless in WAC play three of the past five seasons and won only a single game the other two, not to mention the severe issues that entire school is having. NKU has a lot of things working in its favor. Good for them. |
