Monday night at 5pm #13 NU will face #16 Harvard in the Game 1 of the Beanpot semifinals.

In the 2nd 'Pot semifinals, #5 Boston College will take on rival Boston U.

NU is looking for their 3rd straight championship.

A little too close for comfort, but its the Beanpot and we won, so I'll take it.

NU has to be able to neutralize the speed of BU to win next week. BU won in 2 OT's.

All I wanted us to do was make it back to the BP final so we can defend our titles. But first, need to win Friday vs Maine.

The men beat Harvard by a score of three to one and will now face BU. Now the ladies beat Harvard by a score of three to one and will go on to face BU.

I was very impressed with the BC men Monday night. They have such great skaters and made everything look easy. And then they just collapsed. Not the best results for our SOS but I do feel more confident going against bu than bc.

A lot of people are saying they would rather face BU than BC.

But we played BU already and lost at their place. Their speed gave us fits (although Kislin and Bucheler didn’t play that game).

We, remarkably, haven’t played BC yet. It would have been weird meeting for the first time in the Beanpot.

BC is really good, so if we were to lose to them in the ‘Pot it wouldn’t sting as much. Losing to BU would burn my arse!

Tonight is the championship game of the Beanpot between #12 Northeastern and Boston U. at 7:30 pm.

NU is looking to make program history by winning 3 straight Beanpots.

Oh, it so sucks to BU!!

Back-to-back-to-back sounds so nice!

I have to admit I wasn't confident about OT, especially the first OT. We were shellshocked giving up the game-tying goal with less than 2 seconds left.

Yeah, we caught a break on the tripping penalty, but how many times in that 30-year BP drought did we get screwed on calls? Quite a few.

So we'll take it and we did!

Now we focus on positioning ourselves fight for a bye in the HE playoffs.

I wonder how many times the announcers in today's womens Beanpot final will compare championship wins between us and BU. I hope it's at least half as many times as they mentioned BU'S thirty men's championships last night.

Thanks. Four goal turnarounds in one period is pretty uncommon and for it to happen in the Beanpot Championship game was a huge confidence builder. Folks outside of New England have no idea how huge this tournament is to these four Boston schools.
