NATE IS PLAYER OF THE WEEK AGAIN - WMTRIBE75 - 01-06-2020 12:26 PM

Just checked the CAA website and Nate and Riller shared the Player of the Week honors this week. I think that this is third time that Nate has won the award this year. Kudos for the league placing a value on team results over individual point scoring since Buie had bookend games of 38 and 44 surrounding his bad game against us.

Fixed it for you.

Thanks. That sounds much better. And I should add that I think that Buie is a really good player. I just don't think that scoring a ton of points should always be the sole metric used in handing out this honor.

It definitely shouldn’t, I agree. But you also shouldn’t value team results too highly. Otherwise you end up in a Heisman situation, which just goes to the most hyped player on a top-5 team rather than truly evaluating the best player. The best player shouldn’t be overly punished because he plays on a poor team.

Edit: in today’s game that should actually be commended, rather than entering the transfer portal

To Buie's credit, he scored 44 on just 19 shots, which is pretty insane. Have to hope he doesn't get that hot in their return trip to Williamsburg

But they didn't use Knight's photo in the release. Even though they've used Knight's photo when he's previously won and this is Riller's first award this season it's a clear sign of the Vast anti-Tribe Conspiracy.
