Not too shabby. 3 of 25 from current membership schools. We may not all have history together, but we have history.

Joe Greene
Ray Guy
Randy Moss

Moss had more touchdowns than Rice or Fitzgerald More than half their receptions and way more than half their yards in only two year as a Freshman and Sophomore. He was simply the best receiver there ever has been, but they always knock him down a peg because of crap that happened before his college career started here. They never named a verb after Rice or Fitz. But whatevas.

Surprised neither Favre nor T.Bradshaw made it. Case could be made for either or both and both are CUSA current team products. Staubach and Manning are good choices, too. I guess on college numbers alone they were better.

The second team would have housed the first team.

I was just showing the list to my father in law and we both had the same thought.

Indeed. 5 of 25 not from current P5 schools and CUSA has 3 of those.

Moss is penalized because he only played 2 college seasons, 1 of those at the 1-AA level. If he played 4 college seasons he would hold records that would never be broken, or approached. He would have had Pennington throwing to him and we were good enough to go 25-1 those two years without him, so not like the defense could over commit toward him. He would have left with around 120 receiving TDs, more than most QBs throw for in a career.

Methinks this list of All-Time Best players is suspect. Four (4) from the University of Pittsburgh on the 1st team?

That's absurd. Come on. I was born at night, but not last night.

Pitt has 9 national titles. Pitt was a beast back in the day.

Fitzgerald was a true beast to be sure, but I refuse to believe that he is one of the two greatest college receivers of all time. The other Pitt players I dont have a huge issue with.

Espn is biased

LA Tech beat Jerry Rice and his Mississippi Valley State team in the 1984 Div 1-AA playoffs 66-19. No, I guess I have no problem with Rice being on the all-time team. I just know he didn't do any damage to our ambitions. LOL!!

Shane Lechler should have made the team. He was an incredible punter. Easily the first or second greatest in the history of college football.

I hear you, but nobody touches Ray Guy.

....except maybe 2-Time Ray Guy Award winner Ryan Allen, of LA Tech, the first player to ever win the award in back to back seasons (2011 & 2012), and still one of only two punters to win the award in back to back seasons. He was a consensus All America player in 2012. He punted for the New England Patriots from 2013 to 2018. He currently punts for the Atlanta Falcons.

I hear ya. I love Ray Guy, and personally remember him punting for Oakland. Greatest of all time in the NFL. As for college.....Ryan Allen was just so remarkable, he was simply the best I've ever seen at the college level.

It's also hard to imagine anyone being better, in college, than Troy Edwards and Willie Roaf. They were men among boys. But, I know, it's impossible to put together any kind of list and get it exactly right.
