The Non-Conference section shows that you played two Southland teams this season, which is more than Hofstra has played all-time. Hofstra is 0-1 against the Southland. In 1995-1996, Hofstra lost to Southwest Texas State in the MetLife Classic at San Francisco. Southwest Texas State is now Texas State and now in the Sun Belt, but they were in the Southland then.

We scheduled Abilene. SFA was part of a mostly round robin tournament (that also included Rutgers, Bryant, Niagara), so that was mostly accidental.

Based on these numbers, the only one of their losses that would be deemed unacceptable is the embarrassing loss at UMBC. All other losses are against teams with a higher NET than Drexel has.

It was by far the most respectable schedule in the Spiker era. We had our chances and couldn't quite finish some games. Also Rutgers is now ranked #24 in the nation in the AP
