Central Michigan / Miami - Bronco'14 - 11-29-2019 12:42 PM

Who ya got?

No matter who wins, we all lose. The MAC sucks this year.

Both CMU and Miami had an embarrassing blowout loss to a P5 school.

Miami is garbage in my opinion. Funny that CMU was supposed to be last.

Big difference between losing big to OSU or Wisconsin, who have both annihilated some decent and good teams, and other P5s. Nothing for us to be proud of, but any G5 team in the country would also get killed against them - Cincinnati showed us that.

Miami beat UB. That shows they are at least okay. But honestly the entire MAC is pretty much Jeckle and Hyde.

Miami at 6-2 or 7-1 VERY much deserves to play in the title game.

FIRE UP CHIPS!!!!

RE: Central Michigan / Miami - NIU007 - 11-29-2019 02:32 PM

I think CMU is better than when they played O$U. In any case, that Ohio state school is crazy good this year.

They played Wisconsin, Miami played OSU. And we're the only team to lead them at any point this season, albeit briefly before getting blown out.

Just wait for the postseason.

What are the odds that the MAC goes winless in bowl games again? 7-22 in bowl games over the last 5 years, none of the wins came against a P5 school.

There are 5 G5 schools in the AP top 25, with 3 more receiving votes. None are from the MAC.

We're going to get killed. This conference keeps getting worse and worse. =(

since OHIO is the only MAC team to win a bowl game two years running, if we don't make it, the chances of anyone getting a win this year are even worse!

Sorry, got the scores mixed up.

If Gabbert (shoulder soreness today) can't play next week our chance of beating CMU is less than zero.

RE: Central Michigan / Miami - Motown Bronco - 11-29-2019 03:19 PM

McElwain provided Lester a clinic lesson on what a focused, motivated team looks like against a reeling team with division title implications on the line. I hope Tim was taking notes, but I doubt it. Looking forward to another .500 season next year.

Congrats to the Chips. You earned both the MACC appearance and bragging rights.

RE: Central Michigan / Miami - NIU007 - 11-29-2019 03:54 PM

Yea they destroyed NIU this year. They looked like they knew what they were doing.

Midweek MACtion needs to go ASAP! How can our league commissioner sit back and do nothing? The results don't lie, the MAC sucks.

What does this even mean? Yeah, I'm salty with our crappy coaching staff and administration.

And yes, I would still be saying this if WMU was going to Detroit. I've been saying it all year. Even in the preseason. The MAC is way down this year and was ripe for the taking.

Are you going to argue that the MAC isn't total dog crap?

RE: Central Michigan / Miami - cmufanatic - 11-29-2019 06:00 PM

It was a dogfight in the west. Maybe not a top 25 team but very competitive and in november 4 teams had a shot to win it.
