Is there a reliable handy dandy link to bowl ties and selection order or is the Wikipedia page the best out there. I know the Wikipedia page has had a couple errors last few years.

The wikipedia post is pretty close for the ACC, but not quite right.

Ive never found a really good source for all the bowl ties in one place. Then---because ESPN can kind of mix and match if they want, you have the added complication of what is effectively a flexible ESPN bowl pool. For instance, in 2016 Houston ended up in Vegas---there wasnt any tie that would have told you that was coming....and I have yet to find anyone who can adequately explain how the back up CUSA/AAC ties in the Indy Bowl work.

That seems to be the case. They tend to work with the conferences some, regardless of pecking order, especially when geography comes into play for venues like the Belk/Music City bowls.....Ville, UT, UNC, UK, NC State, UNC, Vandy, etc are good fits as an example.

And going to get even murkier under the next bowl agreement. All we will know for sure is a conference has X number guaranteed if they can fill them for the most part.
