UT and others succumb to the pressures of ESPN appearances on weekday nights in Nov. Plus, the locals can go but the outer downers can't. ESPN sucks, charge too much anyway. My rant for the day.

And if you have cable/satellite, you're already paying $9+/month for the ESPN channels. Already pay them enough.

0% chance this game is on ESPN2 on Saturday, so, why not have nation wide exposure on a slow weeknight of TV? Plus, it's an actual "TV" game, so no need for an extra subscription to watch, unless you do not have cable or a streaming service with ESPN2.

My bad - I should've clarified. If this game was scheduled for Saturday, not a week night, there's 0% chance it would be aired on ESPN2. That is why the MAC will gladly have our games on during the week.

ESPN will have UT-NIU on the free ESPN 3, in Spanish. Suppose those announcers are actually at the game as part of the regular crew or are they somewhere smartly warm, doing play-by-play off a big screen tv? If at the game, crowd should give them a big "HOLA!"

Got an e-mail from UT--upper sections (where my tix are) will be closed off tonight, and we will be re-seated in the lower bowl...guess that's a sign of how ticket sales have gone & the anticipated level of attendance by students tonight. On the plus side, I'll be out of the wind!

Probably more about snow removal though attendance likely won’t be great. 8pm is deciding factor here. Hour plus drive, school night for kids, not gonna happen unfortunately. Go Rockets!
