Slightly off-topic but still on topic of WBB...
I can't help but notice that all four freshman on the roster are 6 foot or taller. 2 years ago, there were 2 6 footers on the roster. Now there are 6. 2 years ago, Drexel got to the championship and got bullied by a bigger Elon team. Last year, they got to the championship and got pushed around by a physically tougher Towson team. And they always get beat up by a bigger JMU squad. I'm looking forward to seeing if having slightly taller players while still playing Denise's brand of basketball, will make a difference.

Piggy backing on off topic of the subject:

Harry Perretta to retire as Villanova women’s basketball coach after 2019-20 season

Glad to see we are getting taller. We need to get wider too. Hopefully they've been hitting the weights this offseason.

What do you think the chances are Coach Dillon goes to Nova? I always figured she was waiting for that job. We're lucky she stayed this long and hopefully she goes out with her second title.

You should like Freshman AJ Davis. Based on the exhibition with Jefferson, I don't think she's going to get pushed around much.

That's always been the rumor...but hopefully it's just a rumor. But that rumor might be the reason why her contract keeps getting extended longer and longer. While fans understandably question Drexel's commitment to Men's Basketball, the administration has shown nothing but full commitment to Women's Basketball. Hopefully that commitment is enough that Denise could hopefully spend her entire career at Drexel.

If Dillon goes to Villanova, they will have both genders have coaches from current CAA schools, with Jay Wright leaving Hofstra the same time they (and you, Delaware, and Towson) left the America East.

If you went to certain games years ago, you could see two CAA Basketball players with the same name, but different genders. The 2010s have had two Men's Basketball players named A.J. Davis. The most recent one played one season for Tennessee, three for Central Florida (UCF), and graduated in 2018. Before him, an A.J. Davis played two seasons for Wyoming and two for JMU. In 2011-2012 as a junior, he was fourth in the CAA with 15.9 points per game.

totally agree. they have good promotions, a strong social medial presence, and it seems like good facilities from what i can tell. i don't know what keeps denise dillon there but it's working. hopefully they can keep someone in her lineage to succeed her if she does leave.

speaking of promotions...you have to look for it...but there is a list for the season...

i don't see a mario birthday party or postgame autographs. they were our favorite. hopefully they'll add those.

i like the women's schedule too. we'll see them at bucknell. men might as well schedule messiah.

The Nova news could be potentially awful. Denise has done a wonderful job here and losing her would be a dagger. Hopefully we do everything possible to keep her here and not across the city.

Tough opening game tonight. Will be a good gauge for this team.

Great road win. I felt we rely too much on Bailey, but shes obviously our best player. If we can hit some outside shots, it will add value to all of our beautiful cuts and passes. This team could be real dangerous with another shooter. Great start to the season though.
