Rank these teams - Fighting Muskie - 10-28-2019 12:50 PM

13-0 Clemson ACC Champ
11-1 Alabama
12-1 Oklahoma B12 Champ
11-1 Penn St
12-1 Oregon Pac12 Champ
13-0 SMU AAC Champ

Alternatively, where would 13-0 Baylor, 11-1 LSU, 11-1 Ohio St, and 12-1 Utah fall?

11-1 Alabama
11-1 Penn State (call me a homer, I don’t care)
12-1 Oklahoma
12-1 Oregon
13-0 Clemson
13-0 SMU

I mean there's absolutely no doubt the committee ranks SMU last. If they go undefeated I wouldn't, but that's what would happen.

1) undefeated SEC Champ
2) undefeated Big Ten Champ
3) Undefeated Clemson
4) 12-1 Big 12 Champ
5) doesn't matter

1) undefeated Clemson
2) 1 loss SEC Champ
3) 1 loss Big 10 Champ
4a) 1 loss SEC runner up (if it's Bama)
4b) 1 loss Big 12 Champ (if 4a isn't Bama)

11-1 Bama isn't getting in unless Clemson loses or a 2 loss team wins the Big 10 and/or SEC. Same for a 1 loss PAC 12 or Big 12 team.
13-0 Baylor would be 3rd or 4th and be in.

I agree with this

It will be kind of funny to see where they'd rank an undefeated SMU versus where they had UCF the last two seasons. I wonder if SMU somehow gets the benefit of the doubt because they were a power school 25 years ago.

Nothing like that.

Easy, can't be done. Who did all of the one loss teams lose to? The only thing I would say is SMU would be behind all of the other teams listed.

13-0 Clemson ACC Champ
11-1 Ohio St
11-1 Alabama
11-1 LSU
11-1 Penn St
13-0 Baylor
12-1 Oklahoma B12 Champ
12-1 Oregon Pac12 Champ
12-1 Utah
13-0 SMU AAC Champ

Interesting that 12-1 Oklahoma is the Big 12 champ but 13-0 Baylor is not. And wouldn't there have to be 2 losses between the 2 of them assuming a rematch in the Big 12 championship game.
