Thank you Michigan - shere khan - 10-26-2019 10:08 PM

For exposing the perennially overrated entitled Notre Dame pretenders.

Number 8 my arse.

ND will have to have their recruiting standards lowered to be really relevant again. I am so respective that ND can stay competitive with these standards.

RE: Thank you Michigan - Transic_nyc - 10-26-2019 11:50 PM

I thought Georgia already did just that.

Before last night's beat down, ND had won 17 of its last 19 games and 27 of its last 32.

The last two seasons, ND has only lost three games (Clemson, Georgia and Michigan).

Recruiting wise, ND is ranked #13 by Rivals this incoming class (2020) and the 2019 class was ranked #14.

24/7 has those classes ranked #8 and #16, respectively.

So, ND is recruiting well enough to field a very good team.

Brian Kelly usually coughs up a hair ball game like this about once a season, though.

Congrats to Michigan. That was a dismantling.

They will probably drop one spot to number 9 and still be ranked higher than Georgia who beat them and Michigan who smashed them. After all they were quality loses. 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 05-stirthepot 07-coffee3

Yes, reminiscent of that game at Miami a couple years ago.

Inexcusable performance, especially with a bye week to prepare.

I think Brian Kelly's kryptonite is rain.

Good teams are Notre Dame's kryptonite. They are hell in the bowling green's and new Mexico's of the world. ND shouldnt even be ranked. Notre Dame isn't even bowl eligible yet. Lol.

Oh...and Michigan is not that good either.

RE: Thank you Michigan - CoastalVANDAL - 10-27-2019 10:52 AM

The Georgia game was close they deserved eight .
The thing is the same team does not show up every week.
I love Michigan but were not beating Georgia easily but we could beat them.
And Georgia can beat anybody else out there.
At the end of the day who the best team is is subjective.
The team that accomplishes the most is what matters.
The best team does not win every year in the pros but its their fault they didn't .
At least with the playoffs four teams get a chance at being the most accomplished .
Notre Dame is better than they played and Michigan not that dominant.
Patterson is reckless his left hand pass was ridiculous .
But if the line play is that good and Patterson does not turn it over we can beat anybody.
Notre Dame has a good team just a bad day.

Notre Dame might be 8th in the SEC but not the nation. That is the point.

The point is that you hate ND and wait for it to lose so you can gloat.

It is interesting that other teams lose or even get blown out and you never start threads after they lose.

I get it.

It must have sucked for you that they won 27 of 32 lately and you weren't able to say anything all of those weeks.

Take care.

P.S. Among the 65 Power 5 Conference teams, Notre Dame’s previous mark of 27-5 trailed only the power quartet of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

That's what is interesting about the vantage point of Week #9 in the season. Georgia was overrated, Florida was underrated, and next week Jacksonville Florida's game may bear that out. Michigan merely did to Notre Dame what South Carolina (which is noting to right home about this season) did to Georgia.

Right now I think the top four represent the elite programs. We'll see when LSU plays Alabama and Ohio State plays Penn State. Oregon still looked fairly pedestrian by comparison with the late win over Washington State. I think they pick up another loss before the PAC season is completed. Utah may actually be the best team in the PAC.

Oklahoma's defense was exposed by a good but not great KState team.

Florida may yet earn a top 4 spot, but some things have to happen to make it possible. Meanwhile they need to beat Georgia and take it a week at the time.

Minnesota could creep into the picture as well, it's just very hard to know what they do, or don't have.

RE: Thank you Michigan - cubucks - 10-27-2019 03:49 PM

I sure hope Memphis is as good as you all are claiming in basketball. If not, you've set yourselves up for complete torture on here.

Have you all sent the Tulsa kicker a gift basket yet?

Don't know anything about Minnesota until they play Penn State on November 9th. Minnesota's best win so far is over South Dakota State. They've had so many cupcakes, their entire team should be tested for diabetes. 07-coffee3

Their first 4 games obviously made them not look so great (maybe like an above-average G5). But then CRUSHING Nebraska, Illinois, and Maryland shows they're a legit good team.

But yes, worthy of being #13? Penn State, @Iowa, and Wisconsin will iron out where they should really be placed.

They've improved as the season has gone on. So I would Expect them to be 10-2 and lose the tie-breaker to Wisconsin or Iowa in the division, whoever wins that game between those two.

Maybe they should join the Ivy League. Perhaps Dartmouth & Princeton are too tough for them. but they should be able to beat the other 6.

I hate that ND never earns its ratings and is made for tv marketing fiction. Notre Dame hasnt done anything but prove they are overrated since Lou Holtz.

I like the school, the stadium, the fans, the uniforms, the tradition. I guess I hate the system more than ND. Sick of the marketing lies.

That's all.

PS. We actually beat Tulsa, a claim mighty Notre Dame cant make.

RE: Thank you Michigan - esayem - 10-28-2019 06:41 AM

I thought ND’s offensive play calling was atrocious the first half and by half time it was too late. The blocked punt could have swung momentum and changed the game, instead the mo went to Michigan.
