Ball State: 3-0 MAC, Competitive OOC
CMU: 3-1 MAC, HOT
EMU: 1-2 MAC, but played well OOC, and own a body of work win vs. Illinois which looks nice

Fricking tie:
WMU: best MAC Computer ranking
NIU

MIAMI
KENT
UB:
BGSUcks
TOLEDO: -40 and -35 ATS the last two weeks

Akron: the only team who won't win a game

The best team(s) may not make the MACC game, but then again we don't know who they are.

Here are the Sagarins. Four teams have ratings of 60.xx.

https://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/2019/conference/

As a hypothetical, EMU could win out the next 5 games (I said, hypothetically) and most likely not make the MACC because of the tough loss to BSU.

The good news is that every game counts for all but say Akron.

And the bowl game decisions will be a real mess. Probably a lot of 7 win teams competing for the same bowl bids.

BSU
CMU
EMU
WMU
OU
MIAMI
NIU
KENT
UB
UT
BG
AKRON

Hard to separate NIU/MIAMI/OU because they are all pretty even. These rankings are tough because everyone is beating up on each other. WMU beat us but they have 2 conference losses. Rankings will probably look different next week.

WTF happened to Toledo? A rival rising up for an upset is one thing. But the pantsing by Ball State? Where’d it all go wrong?

They were down to their #3 QB by the end of the BGSU game, and their #2 QB started against Ball State, so I'd say that was a factor. As to why the Ball U. game went so off the rails, no idea.

Our #2 & #3 QBs are both freshman, so very little experience there after losing our 5th year senior QB for the year due to another concussion. The team wasn't mentally in it against Ball St. whatsoever, and the million dollar coaching staff couldn't do a damn thing to fix it. I've never quite seen anything like this at Toledo. From 4-1 with big wins over BYU & WMU, now to this in a matter of two weeks. Maybe something internally happened? Season might be completely lost, but time will tell.

Central Michigan definitely the favorite at this point.

@Buffalo
NIU
@Ball St
Toledo

Toledo and NIU are banged up. Buffalo's crap. The Ball St game will be tough tho. I give the advantage to CMU being the favorite tho because if they win the other 3, I think that'll be enough for them.

I bet CMU loses both those road games.

RE: Pre week 9 power rankings - Kit-Cat - 10-26-2019 05:20 PM

Ohio's offense averaged 38+ ppg over the last 3 games.

Offense is starting to wake up for November.

Or go bowling

Grand Rapids local radio was saying the MAC race much more interesting then the Big 10 race. After this weekend, the drama deepens. Everyone's still pretty much in it. Even EMU. (I've heard some saying the Division winner will have 3 (04-jawdrop) conference losses.)

My guess is this week the bowl projections have Toledo back again winning the MAC. Will be interesting seeing who they have making bowls......

The west is wide open. Ball State and CMU in the driver's seat. NIU and Toledo need Ball State to have 3 conference losses to have a shot. WMU still has a shot too. Love it.

I would argue WMU is in the driver's seat with Ball State, not CMU. after all, WMU beat CMU head to head.

WMU's problem is their remaining schedule (tough home game vs BSU, and tough road games @OU and @NIU) and UT having the tiebreaker.

I heard that there are scenarios where UT gets if several West teams end up with 2 losses.
