I warned everybody about FIU. Some folks thought I was just trying to make LA Tech's schedule look tougher. Well, FIU has now won their last 3, and they could win their next two (@MTSU & at home again ODU)

Also, as it pertains to the east, FAU has the easiest schedule remaining.
WKU has a brutal slate coming up. FIU have a handful of tough matchups.
I think when the dust settles, FAU could still represent the East. We'll see. Marshall can control its own destiny, and I like the fact our toughest matchups (WKU and La Tech) are home games.

It wasn't an impressive win over FAU. It was FAU. We should have won by much more, we sre basically playing with 10 players on offense, and playing with 2-3 downs each possession with Green at Quarterback, and still winning. If Doc ever plays Thomson, we will not lose again. I fully expect to beat WKU Saturday too.

Ok.... I’m sure you fully expected to beat Middle also. Considering Marshall was destroyed by Cincinnati then thump by Middle. Beating FAU was impressive.

The only reason I asked is to make sure that they realize USM lost by 15.

UTEP and NMSU are both waiting for their showdown in Las Cruces the week before our game with Rice. NMSU likely sees that game as their best chance to avoid a winless season and UTEP likely sees it as their only real shot at a win vs an fbs team. Plus it's an old rivalry.
UTEP's coach has said he is waiting until the last 4 games to play those that he will redshirt so we may finally see some of our best recruits then. They will likely keep losing but the experience should help for next year.

I don't get why a blowout win over sacks allowed leader ODU gets UAB a huge bump, but congrats to them (ODU had given up 27 going into that matchup)
SP+ doesn't like Tech or CUSA, but finally put Tech in top tier (#2 to UAB), we were #8 last week.
Paul Myerberg's USA Today and Massey Composite both have Tech on Top.
I don't know why Marshall hasn't supplanted FAU this week, so please don't ask...
Louisiana Tech is only program in CUSA with votes in AP Poll (2) and one of two in Coaches (7 for Tech, 1 for UAB). Good job UAB.
WKU has the head-2-head win over UAB, but the FCS loss is undoubtedly weighing them down in the composite. Massey has them over UAB, but not other 2.
