UConn and Utah State actually played once before - in 2001, back when they were BOTH independents.

C'mon, Mick, tell the AD you want to come out East to play your old buddies and to roll a football game into it.

This is just a hunch, but it wouldn't shock me if it's to squeeze in another Michigan - ND series. Michigan has separate series with Texas and Oklahoma from 2024 to 2027.

There are rumors of games in 2033 and 2034. Not confirmed.

1) 2033-2020= 33? Your math is way off.

(Its 13 years, not 33)

2) I was responding to Frank's post. Thanks for the input.

3) If you don't care, why did you bother to respond ??

Hope it's true. It would be nice for you guys playing Syracuse again. Definitely believe in a money game with Michigan. It should be a big amount.

Sorry about the math. But 13 or 14 ( over a decade) years down the road won't mean a lot either. With the changes in how everyone gets its information and entertainment, it is to be seen. I am 64 and not having phone booths is a reality check.

Again, apologize for the error.

No problem, I will be 63 in July.

I love the new technology and don't miss the old.

Independence, from a scheduling standpoint, so far seems to be working as well as UConn could have asked for so far.

Yes those trips to Utah will really cut down on traveling.

Excellent point ... when you are located in the Northeast, even the occasional trip to Utah is less travel than a conference with one or two trips to Dallas, Tulsa, Houston, New Orleans, or Memphis per year.

UConn has had 25 players enter the transfer portal since they ejected from the AAC.

Edsall has his work cut out.

Does that mean they definitely won’t play for UConn next season, or just maybe/maybe-not?

Since most of them were probably not top prime recruits to begin with there will probably be no interest in them except for FCS programs or lower. Hence most of them will be with UConn next year anyway. 05-nono 07-coffee3

Nice, UNC's a great get for a series. Should try to get Wake on the phone as well.

UConn will probably sign as many ACC schools as possible especially the Northern schools and the other BE FB schools that left the OLD BE for the ACC. COGS COGS 04-cheers 02-13-banana 02-13-banana 04-jawdrop

As UNC football continues its evolution under Mack Brown, the best future non-conference games (even those six years from now) might just be those in the EST time zone against programs the Heels can beat and that involve schools that carry overall academic and athletic prestige (which UConn clearly does).

As a Tar Heel fan, I'm pleased to hear this.
