Pre week 6 POWER RANKINGS - UofToledoFans - 09-29-2019 01:49 PM

(FIGHT FOR DOUBLE DIGITS AND MAC WEST)
Toledo- it's not hard to squint and see 11-1. Favored the rest of the way...
EMU- 3-1 ooc With a P5 win, a MACC could be on the horizon
------------------------
(7-8 WIN CLUB)
Ohio- very tough schedule, but I think 8 wins will still happen
WMU- offensively a power house, but I just can't see more than 7 wins with the road tilt ahead
Miami- I'm not sure where I rank Miami, but this feels right
NIU- close but no cigar OOC, it's going to take a year to get on track. Still expect some big wins down the stretch
-------------
(5/6 WINS)
UB- I don't think they beat anyone on the list ahead of them, but they still could go bowling
BSU- not a lot to go on at this point
CMU- not a train wreck
KSU- getting better, but not bowl good yet
---------------
(BOTTOM 3 IN FBS)
BGSU- full rebuild, 120-13 will be the next two weeks scores
Akron- wow, this is not good

Yep, seems about right. I think Toledo is the clear favorite right now.

Akron and BGSUcks are the two worst teams in all of FBS (New Mexico St. is right there as well). I don't think it could get any worse over at Akron. And to think they won the East just two years ago. Just terrible. Should have invested all that new football stadium money into the basketball program instead because it clearly isn't paying off.

Toledo’s not finishing 11-1 regular season but will be favored every game rest of way. Even 1 conference loss sends us to the MAC title game. A 10-2 regular season finish would be really nice

Unless we lose to EMU who could also easily go 7-1 and then they win the tie breaker. We can afford a loss to WMU because our crossovers are easy.

7. Northern Illinois
8. Miami

---I'll keep the Eagles over the Rockets, due their win over Illinois being on the road.
---The Broncos and Golden Flashes have had 'easier' opponents, but they're winning them
--- Redhawks thru Chippewas all w/ 2 wins. MU wins tiebreaker over UB
---Huskies and Bobcats have had tough opponents; expect them to finish near the top (or very top) by season's end
---Cardinals offense seems really good, but 1-3 w/ easier schedule then Huskies & Bobcats
---Falcons with a win over FCS gets them above 0-5 Zips

Doubtful. More likely a 3 or 4 way tie again, or a team back-stepping into the Division Championship. That's been the trend.

My rankings:
1. Toledo (Won @CSU + BYU who beat Tenn & USC; Seems to have an OK D this time around)
2. Eastern Michigan (Won @Illinois; Won @Coastal Carolina who beat @Kansas; Feisty Emooos)
3. Western Michigan (Whipped GA-State; Put up over 350 yards on Top-Tier MSU D; Over 500 yards on Syracuse; O is great; D is Not)

4. Kent State (Got whipped by @ASU; Trounced by @Auburn but that's passable; Beat Elite FCS at home; Didn't break 30pts on O against BGSU - Broke 60!)
4. Ohio (Disappointing so far; Lost to @Pitt a little easier than expected; Lost to @Marshall Very Respectably, but Lost at home to ULL Soundly)
4. Northern Illinois (Got solidly beat by @Utah; Pounced on by @Nebraska, but beat good FCS at home; Still too early to tell, plays Vandy; Can Jump Up)

5. Buffalo (Lost to Liberty, got solidly beat by Maimi-OH, but beat Temple. Weird.)
5. Central Michigan (Got bent over bare-back by Wisconsin; But Whipped Akron to show they were no lap dog; Played Miami-FL CLOSE! But beat by WMU despite a good 2nd half)
5. Ball State (Fought tough against Indiana in 10pt loss; Same against supposed G5 good team FAU this year; played @NCST CLOSE suprisingly)
5. Miami-OH (Playing less than expected coming into this year; Getting back on track after Buffalo win)

11. Bowling Green (Hey, they at least got one win, stomping an FCS)
11. Akron (Zero wins; Had a respectable game against UAB; Blown out by @Illinois, @CMU, and Troy; Solidly beat by UMuck)

That great Illini team with a blow out win over Akron and a close one vs UConn.03-lmfao

NIU on ESPN's Bottom 10 Waiting List.

Akron #1, and Bowling Green St also on it.

I'm not going to lower EMU because they didn't play. If they had had a game and won it, they'd have 1 more W then UT.
