2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - B_Hawk06 - 10-31-2022 10:00 PM Bengals getting blasted by the Browns. Burrow isn’t as good of a QB when there’s significant pressure. He’s getting blasted by a below average Browns team. Fields is for real and is a problem for opposing defenses. Future looks good for the Bears. Cowboys had a hard time today stopping them and they have a very good defense so I see them continuing to roll on offense against almost everyone. Well that was fun while it lasted, the life of a running QB ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: 2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - bricksnivy - 11-23-2022 03:13 PM How many Bears games have you watched? He’s separated himself as the top QB in that class and is potentially a franchise guy. Yes, he’s running for his life behind a bad OL, and he doesn’t have a lot in the way of receivers, but he is far from a running QB. This season has gone almost perfectly. JF established himself as the guy but Chicago still loses because a bad defense thus netting us a top 5 (potentially top 2) pick. And, we have $110M in cap space to address needs. I love where Chicago is and it’s largely due to JF1. 2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - Seahawkhoops - 11-23-2022 06:35 PM (11-23-2022 03:13 PM)bricksnivy Wrote: How many Bears games have you watched? I said it once, I'll say it again running QBs don't last. He's without question a running QB that's really not debatable. His Healthy SO year in college he had almost 140 rushes in 14 games. That's 10 rushes per game, some RB don't get that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: 2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - bricksnivy - 11-23-2022 07:53 PM Grabbing him in FF is not the same as watching him play. He’s going through his progression and not looking to run when the 1st option isn’t open. He’s running more this year because the OL and lack of receivers. Of course he CAN run, he’s one of the best athletes in a league full of freaks. He’s carrying the team and the OC is hiding team deficiencies. In 2.5 years as the OSU starter he had 1100 yards rushing. He wasn’t a running QB in college and I think he’ll continue to improve as the talent around him does in Chicago. If teams could re-draft that class today, he’d be the first QB taken and every team that drafted a QB would take him first (plus teams like Denver, ATL, Detroit and Carolina). Of course he CAN run, he’s one of the best athletes in a league full of freaks. Drake Maye has 600 yards rushing this year on 147 attempts in 11 games. Maye isn’t a running QB and no one would argue he is. To answer your question, no; JF sophomore stats don’t confirm he’s a running QB. Looking at college stats, box scores and watching a few highlights is not the same as watching a guy play. I’m not saying he’s a finished product or that those other guys are busts, but he’s shown the most upside to this point. Anyone running to a MB to declare “fun while it lasted” is looking (and hoping) for Fields to fail. 2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - Seahawkhoops - 11-24-2022 02:14 PM (11-24-2022 05:34 AM)bricksnivy Wrote:(11-23-2022 11:05 PM)Seahawkhoops Wrote:(11-23-2022 07:53 PM)bricksnivy Wrote: Grabbing him in FF is not the same as watching him play. That really isn't debatable he's been really good the last 5+ weeks. But he runs, and he runs a lot and now he's hurt largely because of that. Maybe he will learn to not get hit but as soon as Cam back off he sucked. I hope his shoulder isn't as bad as it sounds. Bills are good but better wake up. Von Miller needs to get back or a Super Bowl appearance may not be assured. Cowboys are very good but we lack discipline. It probably will cost us a shot at the NFC title. 2019-2022 NFL Regular Season - B_Hawk06 - 11-26-2022 10:32 PM (11-26-2022 11:00 AM)billthebighawksfan Wrote: The Patriots are who we thought they were! Nothing unfortunate about that. He's legit, and his teammates respond to him. He proved there was something there last year in the Bengals game and the first drive of the Colts game (before his unfortunate injury). Today reaffirmed that. Very excited to see how this team performs down the stretch.
