With yesterday's loss, Rodgers continued to underwhelm in NFC Championship game appearances. He's now 1-3, with 6 TDs and 7 INTs when playing for the George Halas trophy.

He did end up with Ok stats yesterday, but, most of that would be considered Garbage time. We was like 9-9 to start the game but all very small plays.

No doubt there is blame to go around for yesterday's performance, but he wasn't good in the first half. They had 7 possessions, punted on 5 and had 2 turnovers. How much closer is the game at half without his TOs? Putting decent numbers after the game is decided is not good enough for a player of his caliber.

I agree.

Rodgers hasn’t put together an impressive postseason in a decade. It’s very strange given his abilities and supercomputer brain.

There was a time when there seemed to be a general thought that Brady was the GOAT and Rodgers was the most gifted QB ever. There will never be a consensus on either of those, but as strange as it sounds, is it possible that Mahomes has already passed Rodgers as the most gifted?

Gauging the temperature today, most seem to favor SF, but I like KC to win it all. IF that were to happen, Mahomes would have an MVP and likely a Superbowl MVP to his name before he turn 25.

I think Mahomes vs Jackson will be a fun rivalry the next few years.

The biggest thing with Mahomes(and i think he's learned some already) is learning when to get down. He needs to stay healthy. His arm is out of this world. A lot of times when you have that arm strength, accuracy goes down the $hitter. Not the case with him as he's pretty damn accurate as well. I need to see one more year, but, if he hasn't passed Aaron already he will. Also refreshing to see a superstar seem like a genuinely good dude as well. someone for Brees to pass that torch too.

The State Farm dream commercial put him over the top imho.

Very much so. Mahomes is the most gifted QB I’ve seen in my lifetime. And just as impressive, his pre-snap reads are always on point.

He has an insanely high ceiling.

Hard to imagine that ceiling would get any higher than last year, but even so, it was a pretty amazing year!

Postseason success is the only thing that can top a 50-TD season.

Super Bowl week is here, time for your official picks.....
Mine is SF 27- KC 24

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season - B_Hawk06 - 01-27-2020 10:22 AM

KC 35
SF 24

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season - Seahawk Nation 08 - 01-27-2020 03:13 PM

I've been on the KC train since the start of the playoffs. Why change now? It's Andy Reid's year.

KC is only favored by 1 point, with the O/U at 54.5. I think both are way too low, regardless of how good SF's defense has been.

You might see this game be low-scoring early on. Like 3-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. Then in Q2 and Q3 Mahomes will explode.

I'll go KC 38, SF 24.

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season - bricksnivy - 01-27-2020 04:44 PM

I like KC as well. SF has a great running game and the defense is great, but Jimmy G has been inconsistent. I think KC's offense will too much...no prediction on the score.

110% agree. They did the same thing to Tennessee. Shut down their run game and force a “meh” QB to beat you. Mahomes is easily the better QB in the SB. If he gets going early or going at all... it’s over for SF.

TN D was not nearly as good as SF. Not even close.

So you're saying the SF def is going to stop the KC machine?

I'm saying they can slow them down, enough. KC hasn't faced close to as good of a D as SF since playing NE, and NE slowed them down just didn't have enough offense(or good officiating) to win. IMO, SF is significantly better than NE was this year as an entire team.

San Francisco defense is also why I am picking them to win,but I would like kc to win for their coach.
