I don't mind the Divisions and the division winner making the playoffs. The change they need to make, however, is not guaranteeing a division winner HOST a playoff game.

The Cowboys/Eagles division winner should have to go on the road against a team with a better record.

I mind it. I mind it very much. You have teams like Dallas or Philly that will be given a home playoff game, and it's not earned. Those teams are trash. Shouldn't even make the playoffs. This happens every year. I think last time we had this discussion it was an NFC South team that got in with a .500 or worse record. There's no way that should be happening when you have teams competing for wild card slots with double digit wins. That's insane.
I mind it too, however, i don't think that is a change likely to happen. Re-seeding is a likely compromise

another season sweep of the Bills! :) wonder how much game footage it took to secure that win?

Yeah. Except it also took a lot of whistle swallowing by the refs (again) to help you out.

Regardless, it was a good game. It’s obvious too that the Bills are looking at the start of sustained success and the Patriots don’t appear nearly as dominant as they once were. The winds are shifting.

Agree that the winds are shifting. You need a new OC that can match the D output. What call are you talking about? The pickplay where the guy leveled Jules negated a huge play for the pats was a questionable call too. The officials have been terrible all the way around

Yes, I actually don’t like our OC at all and I have a funny feeling he’s gonna get replaced in the off season. His play calling is terrible and he tries to make Allen a pocket passer which is the exact opposite of his skill set.

The three biggest plays that were immediate head scratchers were these:

1. The ball spot for the Patriots that gave them a 1st down and continued one of their scoring drives when the guys knee and elbow were down before he extended the ball under the pile. However, that IMO falls mostly on McDermott for not challenging the spot. It was obvious it was not a 1st down.

2. The intentional grounding that Brady got away with to avoid a sack and big loss. They said the backup RB guy was “in the area”. He wasn’t even close. The NFL needs to fix that. IMO, if there is no receiver within 3 yards of where the ball lands it should be intentional grounding. That call was BS and to my knowledge you can’t challenge that.

3. Finally, the most egregious of non calls was the face mask against Josh Allen on the final drive that would have given the Bills an additional 15 yards and even closer to the first down. Two of the refs were staring right at the play as it happened. Both swallowed their whistles.

All in all though, it was a great game and I’m excited for the playoffs and for the Bills future.

Josh Allen got the first down on the non face mask call...... and while It was certainly obvious to the viewer on zoomed in replay, that was a huge pile.
I don't remember the non grounding call. But i agree with you,, the rule needs to be looked at. Brady has certainly pushed those limits this year throwing the ball away a ton.

I do agree with you about not making Allen a pocket passer, he murdered the Pats running on numerous occasions Saturday.

Miami really has NE's number in late season games. Losing at home and losing the bye in the process....crazy!

Green bay has 2 seed and could get 1 seed if Seahawks win tonight. Green bay did not look good today.

Congrats to the Jets for scoring 13 pts and getting a last game of the season win vs the second string Bills squad.

Good luck @ Houston! Should be a fun one.

Haha. I couldn’t help it. Hope y’all get better. It’s more fun when your team is better. Plus, the Patriots won’t be dominant much longer.

What do you mean much longer? They are not dominant now. Quit possibly could be the weakest -12-4 team in nfl history. They very well could not make it out of the first round. Crazy how dominant their D was first 8 games really slipped the last 8

Well duh. Once the refs start flagging all of Gilmore’s pass interferences it’ll really get bad. Lol

He definitely plays right to the edge CG,but that’s what you want from a shut down guy.

Haha. To be fair, he was good then but not yet in his prime. He’s twice as good now as he was with the Bills. Would love for him to return.

Some of my favorite players have been defensive players. Whitner aka “Hitner” was one of my all favs over the last 15 years.

RE: 2019 NFL Regular Season - bricksnivy - 01-03-2020 09:42 AM

Predictions anyone?

Buffalo at Houston - I'm torn on this; this might be the most compelling first round match up, but I'm going to go with Houston
Tennessee at NE - Just so I'm not chalk, I'm taking Tennessee

Minnesota at NO - New Orleans
Seattle at Philadelphia - Seattle

It's hard to see Baltimore or KC losing at home the following weekend, but the NFC Divisional Round should be interesting. A potential rematch between Seattle and SF, and NO is obviously better than GB, but they will have to prove it at Lambo in January.

2019 NFL Regular Season - tke75hawk - 01-03-2020 09:48 AM

In the wild card round I am taking Texans, Patriots even that I would prefer them with a lost. Then the saints and Seahawks
