IMO, there's nothing wrong with ECU having a poor schedule. They need to build a culture of winning and pick themselves up off the mat.
The important thing is that they (a) WIN these games and (b) improve the schedule going forward as they improve the program.

The extreme OOC schedule weakness harms the profile of AAC members with post season aspirations. ECU should have added more muscle to the schedule, IMO.

We did, and then promptly cut the entire roster besides Gardner and LeDay. Stand by my statement if ECU loses 5 games to that schedule Dooley should be fired and then the sport should be dropped.

Yeah I mean they need to only lose one of those games or it crushes them and the league. It is not great but fine if you are rolling up on league play undefeated or with one loss but anything else is just terrible. You really can't get Winthrop/Davidson/Wofford or some of the other mids in your area that aren't completely horrific?

The schedule may be pathetic but it doesn't mean that this team will be. We will all find out once the season begins.

You might want to get ready to drop the sport then because if those games happened this year you would've lost 6 of those games(based on KenPom) and that doesnt count the James Madison game ECU actually did lose.

It really doesn't, at least not relative to what they have been doing. The entire ECU program needs to get better. In order to do that, you have to start winning games somewhere along the way. What's important is winning 10 of these games this season and then replacing 2-3 of them with better games next year. I'll be rooting for them to do so. One way or another, if they are still using the same schedule in 2 years then we have a problem requiring a new coach, at the least.
Now, if they are going to continually lose 5 of these games, then I agree they might as well schedule up. Even so, it will still result in them being a Q4 game for everyone, so the difference is minimal.
