I will miss them. I know it made zero business sense carving them in the rights deal last time, but having games on local TV is something that dates back to the 50s and now is no more

I miss the fact that you could watch local teams on local TV, and not have to subscribe to a higher tier to find it when the local dial is jammed with content from conferences that don't even have a school in my state.

It doesn't make sense, yet, is so sorely missed. I don't hate what TV has become, but I do hate what sports on TV has become.

End of an era. The ACC was the last of the major conferences to broadcast regionally syndicated over-the-air telecasts. It was part of the culture of their conference.

I grew up watching the Big 8 on Saturday afternoons on regional TV. Raycom took a turn broadcasting those games.

I guess this is progress.
