Georgia Tech sold 91 percent more football season tickets last week than it did the first week that season tickets were available in 2018. New season-ticket members made up more than 20 percent of last week’s buyers. There are already more than 50 percent more new season-ticket members in 2019 than there were for the entire 2018 season.
In part because of dissipating interest and perhaps also the string of noon-hour kickoffs, Tech’s average home attendance last year was 43,087, the lowest since 2001, which was before the expansion of Bobby Dodd Stadium. (to 55K seating)
