Seeing Woody take LB coach instead of DC is interesting to see.
Especially when most App fans would easily trade Roof for Woody.

Of course no one knows for sure, but you'd think he would have gotten a call from App.
There are rumors that maybe the parting to go to Ga Tech wasn't as seamless as everyone would have wanted. That is certainly unsubstantiated, but you'd think all else being equal he would want to come back to App and we'd want him.
Either way I think its a great move by Elliott and Ga State.

They've basically assembled a Who's Who of the Wofford defense from the last several years.

If I remember correctly - GSU had lots of complaints about their defense and scheme this past year. Maybe this is Elliots way of getting a successor in place in case he needs to make a change there. Smart move by him.

Yes, I believe it was in the top 5 worst defenses within the last 10 years.
This is a massive upgrade for that defensive staff, should see huge improvements for sure.

Wow that's a big get for GSU. All three are quality coaches and ones that App fans would have like to have had on our sidelines next year. Elliott just made a big upgrade to the defense.

That was reported then never saw anything to back it up. Monken came out prior to the bowl game and said he wasn't even interviewing for the job until after the game.
