With the exception of one poll only, folks just don't want to give the ACC more than 2 teams ranked. Every poll is Clemson and or VT or Syracuse. I can see the concern with Dungey leaving but there are 2 pretty good QB's behind him. Plus there is a lot of returning talent everywhere. Babers pulled in some very good freshmen and transfers the last couple of years who really made a name for themselves on both sides of the ball. I don't know enough about VT to comment. But I know Clemson just destroyed Bama in the NC game and has a lot coming back next year. Its a joke that some folks are determined to rank Bama #1 to start the season.

I know we are not in the ACC, but the fact that only one of these polls include Cincinnati is ridiculous. We had the 3rd youngest team in CFB last year, a team that went 11-2.

I had the same thought when I posted the last polls. Cincinnati underperformed in the bowl game because their star QB got hurt early but still won the game. Very surprising only one poll had Cincy in it.

Stewart Mandel probably only included us in his poll because he is originally from Cincinnati (went to the same school system my kids attend).
Look I get it-- we get taxed because we are in the American Athletic Conference. UC can't help who we associate with-- it's not as if being in this conference was exactly our choice.

Agreed. It's like they didn't actually watch the game against WVU since they apparently didn't notice two impact players for next year played in that game (Abdul Adams and Trishton Jackson) which was their first games for SU.
Well, we will just need to show them this year wasn't a fluke nor was it all about Dungey (as great as he was for the program).

It seems to me that Nebraska is ranked pretty high for a team that finished 4-8. I think they'll be much improved next year but 7-5 would be much improved and not deserving of being ranked.

If they are much improved next season it will likely be more due to what division they play in than anything else. I certainly don't see them winning 8 games, which should be the minimum to even make a Top 25 list, imho.
