Knight and Pierce Are Averaging 17 Points, 7 Rebounds, and 3 Assists - EvanJ - 12-12-2018 10:52 AM

Knight and Pierce are averaging at least 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. To show how rare that is, no other CAA player is averaging it this season, and only two CAA players did it in the last 13 complete seasons. Tramaine Isabell did it last season, and Jerrelle Benimon did it in 2013-2014, which was his second consecutive Player of the Year.

Evan has extensive knowledge about college basketball. He probably has more information about the players and teams in the CAA than we often get directly from the CAA. Thanks to a recent post of his, I plan to read some of his other postings. While the CAA has struggled in its big OOC opportunities, I still think the season will be very competitive beginning Dec. 28th.

What are you referring to? I think any of you could have looked at the CAA statistics and done what I did in under 15 minutes if you were told what to look for and where to find it. Most people don't think about looking up what I look for. I tweet about a lot of rare events at twitter.com/EvanJ3535 and I've been cited by Jayson Stark when he worked for ESPN, including when I told him about Darren Oliver's long gap between consecutive saves that turned out to be the record for the longest gap. Mariano Rivera had over 500 saves in between Oliver's consecutive saves.

I just started a blog at https://evanjhofstrasports.home.blog/ and I was able to name the school and its conference for 316 of 351 Division I teams. Once I reached 90.1 percent, I didn't try for a few more. I didn't just name the conference the team was in from a list of teams. I named the teams.

http://web1.ncaa.org/stats/StatsSrv/careersearch lets you search for results and statistics for every year (not necessarily as far back as the school started playing, but a long time) for every team.

For example, http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/statsPDFArchive/MBB1/C/Men's%20Basketball_Men's_Division%20I_1948_786_College%20of%20William%20and%20Mary.pdf has limited statistics from 1947-1948 along with highs and lows for a few categories. Your season-high in free throws made was 20.

I know. I am wondering what he was referring to specifically.
