Walt Bell - Ewglenn - 12-03-2018 11:19 PM Thoughts? https://www.google.com/amp/s/articles.masslive.com/umassfootball/index.ssf/2018/12/umass_hires_walt_bell_florida.amp RE: Walt Bell - Steve1981 - 12-04-2018 11:19 AM After hearing from a couple Arkansas State guys, feel very good. They either would like Bell in the short list for a new coach there, if available. RE: Walt Bell - Steve1981 - 12-27-2020 05:53 PM Mainly to bump scripture from the most recent post, but will say hope UMass gets a belated Christmas gift with signing day. Walt Bell will be given time to recruit classes, but there is pressure on assistant coaches on the offense. One was let go a few months ago. That said Walt Bell won the job with his recruitment plan and has been executing on that. All those freshmen on defensive made a nice job in their sophomore year and hope the same holds true next year on the offense. RE: Walt Bell - Steve1981 - 01-02-2021 12:41 PM @PeteThamel Reports Alex Miller OL coach hire. Looks like an excellent hire for an area that needs to improve. Quote:Source: UMass is hiring New Hampshire's Alex Miller as the new offensive line coach and run-game coordinator. Miller was co-offensive coordinator and OLine coach at UNH and is prolific recruiter of the DMV. He's a former UMass star center and Oregon GA. From his University of New Hampshire bio page. Quote:In 2019, Alex Miller is in his ninth season as an assistant coach at UNH and currently serves as co-offensive coordinator alongside Mike Ferzoco. Miller has been in charge of the entire offensive line since 2011 and is in command of game-planning with an emphasis on the running game. |
