SBC Football Uni Appreciation Thread - TrueBlueDrew - 08-16-2018 09:22 AM

The rules are simple:
#1 post your favorite uniform combo/alternate that your team has worn
#2 post a uniform you like from another team in the conference

For GS, I'm going to pick something other than the classic blue and white which is timeless.

#1 - Erk's Script Eagles unis, the only good thing to come out of 2017

You are not the only one, I am one of those people. There was a huge discussion on our current uniforms for example these are the new helmets this year which I personally don’t care for. They need to stick with the white face mask. I like the FDL hate the black it looks to much like AState, and black isn’t a school color. We need to stick with a all white helmet with the same design.

I like Georgia Southern's colors, they are the same as my high school. Not crazy over most of their uniforms but probably have not seen them all. Same thing with Texas State. Like their colors but not what they usually do with them.

Probably biased but have nearly always liked Troy's going back to 1968.

I remember when South Alabama's track uniforms were identical to the U.S. Olympic ones. They even had USA across the front.

I gotta admit, The Cajuns FDL uniform is REALLY sharp. I even like the black helmet with the FDL on it, though I get folks saying it's too close to stAte.

It's just too hard to see the metallic FDL on the Black helmet on TV

I honestly love the new uniforms. I think ULM is going back in time when they were a winning program. I love the fact they change the logo and uniforms going back to when they were a winning program back in the 80’s and 90’s. I honestly think they will bring a lot of fans that were lost between changing the name and changing their mascot.

Love the new helmets, just need to change the facemask to a gold chrome facemask and y’all would have a slick helmet.

Will still use the P-40 uniforms as an alternate. Working on the helmet but the hope is one with the shark teeth like on the airplane.

P-40 helmet. The one you are referencing is an A-10 Warthog shark teeth helmet.

Flat black would make it pop, but then it's SUPER close to stAte's helmets.

In general, I'm not a fan of lettering on helmets. So the current Cajuns helmet? I'm no fan of.

second off, I'd be very curious to hear the other belters weigh in on a much debated argument with us astate fans regarding what should be used on our helmets-the block 'stAte' or the wolf head? Here's some examples in case you need a visual reference
