In other news, Robinson is being grilled on the witness stand today.
“Robinson says Gilbert and David Roberson offered him a contract in exchange for him using his office for their benefit.”

Robinson appears to be remorseful for selling out his constituents, but he will pay for it behind bars.

1. everyone is remorseful after they've been caught.
2. If Ray hasn't gotten burned yet, he ain't getting burnt. The only way he'll get burned if he has to be a sacrifice for others to get away.

It looks very much like that's how Ray got the President job. He might still be dragged down by this as you said, but he'll retire before his seat gets warm and we'll wind up with Finis V as the new Pres.
And the ones we need brought down by this get missed by a bullet that lands softly at Ray's feet.

Before we go too wild on the rightfully hated Ray for doing the bidding of our corrupt business brothers by dropping one version of clean air plan (WHICH was wrong but I bet the funding was already dried up ) Our Birmingham version of those business boosters that furnished the money for bringing football. Ones who are supporting the BJCC stadium are almost identical to the old power group The president of UAB whether the hated Ray or even new person will get good things for UAB such as new stadium by cooperating or pay a price for disagreement. Having seen it up close not nearly as good guy v. bad guy or black or white v. many on this board like to think

Pretty much settles it. Normally I wish good things for former UAB players although sometimes if they make their bed they need to sleep in it.

To me there are two OR’s. The great player from the early 80’s with the sweet jump shot. Then the OR today. Most of us at that age are different people than when we were in college. I celebrate one and denigrate the other.
