Parking at their football stadium beyond RF isn't much different than GS's additional parking at Hanner (our basketball facility). The only difference I see is that Hanner's parking is not immediately up against the RF wall, so it's maybe 50-75 yards further of a walk. Yet, our's is a negative and their's is a positive??? Not sure I understand the logic there.

Not even 50 yards. More like 25. In fact, I'd say it's about the same distance and you don't have to walk across train tracks.

Haha. I almost said it reading through the post on their park, but refrained. But I'll say it now: It's really easy to rile up the GS fans. Guys are pissed about their ballpark being ranked 6th....

He can rank us whatever he wants. I'll admit I'm a little salty that Clements got read for lack of parking and drainage issues when there really isn't any. But pissed? Nah.

If you're at the West side of the FB stadium, you don't cross train tracks. And, there's an entrance right there at the RF wall. Not much of a walk at all.

That doesn't answer my question though... Why is the same situation a negative for us, but a positive for them? The only difference is GS doesn't have a separate entrance in RF. Are you saying walking the length of the field is THAT much of an inconvenience?

Not pissed at all. He can rank us anywhere he wants to. But when the same situation is noted as a positive for one stadium and a negative for another stadium, doesn't that make you want to know why?

In both cases you still have to walk the length of the field to get to your seat

Have to say he's never said this was a poll, just his opinion. I don't think he has an issue with you having a different opinion. I would be the same with an opinion between turn and grass fields.

I do have to ask if you've been to all the fields when determining your place in his list.

Again, I really don't have an issue with where he has us ranked. To answer your question, I've only been to two of the stadiums (GS and GSU) in the conference. I have seen photos of all of them, though. I actually agree that somewhere around 5th or 6th would be about right for us. So WHERE he has us ranked is not the issue. I just find it odd that the exact same parking situation is a positive to one stadium and a negative to another. It's not a big deal, just trying to figure out why.

Cool, just curious. If you get a chance to get to Conway or Lafayette, they are really a great environments for college baseball. Coastal has a unique and visually attractive layout. The Cajuns is a more traditional layout (except for the open viewing area underneath the grandstand) with a unique and knowledgeable crowd & and the the visiting team gets fed by the Cajun cooking club on Fridays (& Saturdays starting in April) just like the home team. You'll get respectfully heckled, but you'll get applauded/cheered for good play as well.

Would love to go to either stadium. Travel in the spring is tough with work though. Those two are definitely first on the list if I get a baseball road trip. I also want to see USA as well. I've been to Appy for a couple football games, but it was before they renovated the baseball stadium.
