Is it for sure that Tears will be unavailable? I still like our chances. I don't think Tears is the star. Without a doubt it will be Childers play that makes or breaks this game and year.

I’d rather be missing Tears than Harbison. While Tears has the most experience with Childers, he’s still probably only good for 5 catches for 60 yards in this game. That can be offset. Brown and Wesley are pretty close talent wise and can make up for his absence.
NIU will need to run the ball to get this win.

If Childers deep ball has improved, Tears could be incredibly valuable. Tears, like Blake, had better production with Santa than Childers. Half of his TDs came in the 3 games with Santa. Vast improvements in Childers deep passing game will have a major impact on the success of the Offense, including the running game. Tears and Wesley are two formidable deep ball threats.
