I'd love to get one of the white jerseys.

When will the next game be?

They are done for this season. I'm not sure if they start back up in the fall or after the first of the year.

What months did they play this year?

Typically it's been a 20+ game season starting in late fall & ending in Mar

Not to continue to derail this thread but is there any chance this ever becomes a UAB sport? I got hooked watching the Frozen Four. "Only" seems like it takes ~$1M to put a good team out there (looking at athletics budgets data) but I'm sure Title 9 is the larger hurdle.

RE: UABNews: Hockey club wins respect while scoring victories - the_blazerman - 05-14-2018 11:55 AM

Yes Title 9 is one barrier for doing it. Not enough sanctioned teams in this area of the country being another one.

There would need to be a big push to get it sanctioned here.

I suspect you would see a women's lacrosse team added to help counter.

I would add Wonen's Lacrosse and Gymnastics. Sure would like to be the UAH travel partner.

Yep. Gymnastics it has been said requires a high insurance policy.

UAH has certainly had trouble finding regional games.

Gymnastics would be awesome. Such a good fit for the region. Median expense for gymnastics was much lower than I thought it would be at $720k however all of the top 10 spending programs are over $2M. Women's Lax median is $150k and all of the top 10 spend over 1.5M. Not bad at all for either of those, just have to figure out how to pay for it.

Another possible women's sport with a modest budget would be field hockey since our new soccer field would be an adequate venue.
