Week 7 softball polls - lcitsh - 03-28-2018 10:26 AM http://www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/16026 Mon, 03/26/2018 Rank Team Comments Prior 1 Washington Logo Washington Huskies swept Arizona in Seattle with two walk-off wins and a brilliant performance on Sunday by Taran Alvelo. 1 2 Oklahoma Logo Oklahoma Sooners went 4-0 this week and started Big 12 play on fire by sweeping Texas Tech. 3 3 Oregon Logo Oregon Oregon was off this week and will resume their season next Thursday at Oregon State. 4 4 UCLA Logo UCLA UCLA has grinded out two hard fought wins against a tough Oregon State and will go for the sweep on Monday. 6 5 Georgia Logo Georgia Georgia took two of three down in Starkville against Mississippi State in what was a hard fought series. 5 6 Florida Logo Florida Florida took the first two games of the Texas A&M series in impressive fashion. 7 7 Tennessee Logo Tennessee Tennessee had a tough weekend in Columbia as they were swept by South Carolina. 2 8 Florida State Logo Florida State Florida State swept Syracuse as they won two one-run games against the Orange this weekend. 9 9 Arizona State Logo Arizona State Arizona State finished the series win against Washington on Monday and then swept Cal in Berkeley. 10 10 Auburn Logo Auburn Auburn picked up a very nice sweep against Kentucky to highlight a 4-0 week for the Tigers. 13 11 South Carolina Logo South Carolina Gamecocks make a big time statement this weekend as they swept an excellent Tennessee team. 21 12 Texas A&M Logo Texas A&M Aggies look to avoid the sweep down in Gainesville on Monday night as the Gators have been tough to deal with. 8 13 Arizona Logo Arizona Wildcats just couldn’t generate enough offense in Seattle as they were swept by the Huskies. 12 14 LSU Logo LSU LSU had a good week with wins over BYU and Baylor but they did lose to North Dakota State. 14 15 Alabama Logo Alabama It was a solid week for the Crimson Tide as they took two of three at home against Ole Miss. 16 16 Baylor Logo Baylor Baylor went 2-2 at the LSU Round Robin as they beat North Dakota State twice and lost to BYU and LSU. 11 17 Michigan Logo Michigan Wolverines settled for a split against Iowa and beat Central Michigan, going 2-1 this week. 15 18 Long Beach State Logo Long Beach State Long Beach State swept their two games on Saturday against Loyola Marymount. 22 19 Texas State Logo Texas State Texas State dropped their lone game of the week at Texas 3-0 and their series at Appalachian State was cancelled. 17 20 Mississippi State Logo Mississippi State Bulldogs battled Georgia tough despite dropping two of three games this weekend. 18 21 Kentucky Logo Kentucky Wildcats struggled a bit offensively against Auburn as they were swept by the Tigers. 19 22 Louisiana Logo Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns took two of three on the road at Troy as they just missed getting the sweep on Sunday. 24 23 Nebraska Logo Nebraska Nebraska picked up a series win against Michigan State to get off to a nice start in Big Ten play.
