OT: Anyone Interested in a Stock Market Challenge Game? - B_Hawk06 - 02-06-2018 03:23 PM
Gents/Ladies,
Would anyone be interested in participating in an on-line stock market game? No real money necessary. I'm looking at testing ideas to use in the workplace to foster morale, and thought this would be an interesting idea. The last time I did something like this was in high school, but we had to use pen/paper and newspapers to track our success/failure.
If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you the link and password. I've set up a game to run from today through 30 April, and you can join anytime.

So much of day-trading is based on weird robotic algorithms these days. Any investment I make in stocks is based on a long-term approach for this reason. I can't possibly see how people are day traders in this economic climate!

Another tough part about day-trading: You have to pay a lot of taxes on those dividends. You have to hold a stock for at least a year in order to avoid those significant hits.
