Championship Monday v. Charleston - Monday 7PM 3/6 - Seahawk Nation 08 - 03-06-2017 10:37 AM

Championship day!!!

The way the last meeting ended between these 2 teams will make for a very fun environment. Gotta keep cool heads, however. We saw last night how a mistake by William Adala Moto (flagrant 1 late in the game) helped shift the tide towards the Cougars. Can't let that happen today!

I don't think that'll happen though. I'm sure Keatts is telling the guys to have a singular focus today. And though it'll be a very tough game I believe we'll come out on top.

RE: Championship Monday v. Charleston - Monday 7PM 3/6 - bricksnivy - 03-06-2017 10:43 AM

I hope you're right Nation. I expect our guys to play well, and it's great to see Flemmings play so well in the tournament. He seems to be playing his best basketball of the season right now, and Ingram was unconscious yesterday. Despite all of our consternation the second-half of the conference season, we've played well in the tournament. I'm a little nervous now, and ready for the game.

Chealey is their guy, but I'm always fearful of Brantley. Brantley is the guy that steps on the floor and has an athletic advantage over everyone else (even Cacok).

I'm not that surprised at how well Flemmings is playing. He finished the season strong, and let's not forget, he was the tournament's Most Outstanding Player last year. He's built for this.

Brantley should have won Defensive Player of the Year, with Cacok at least making the 2nd team all-CAA. They got those honors wrong.

If Flemmings plays like he did yesterday then watch out. Kid was in fire Sunday

Flemmings is back to form driving and drawing fouls. If he can do that agains CofC we should do well. Next big issue will be Chuck or Bryan. In our win against them at home, he was a huge factor. Marcus BrYan was getting abused against William and Mary yesterday and finally had to be taken out. Our run happened when Ogbodo came in.

The CofC board stated the Coliseum was not a good place for outside shooters, but I guess we proved that wrong. We need to hit threes, but we have to keep driving and keeping the fouls close to win.

Against Delaware, Chuck played an entry pass to the post very poorly and was immediately pulled for Bryan. He brings a lot to the game, but the mental mistakes must drive Keatts crazy.

or you could just give up a layup every time when you don't make a mental mistake, See Bryan. He's played ok in the tourney though i'll give him that.... time to start drinking 04-rock

I'm not making a case either way, just an observation.

RE: Championship Monday v. Charleston - Monday 7PM 3/6 - getmhawks - 03-06-2017 03:14 PM

This is a terrible deal for the CAA. This is a 3rd or 4th tier station carrying our leagues most prized event. Cannot believe it's not available on vue or sling or any form of direct online stream. I guess I have to find a bar on a Monday night. Why is this thing on a Monday anyways. Bad deal for fans all around.

Wait, I've watched the past two games on CAA.tv. Are you saying I can't stream tonight's game the same way?

The North Charleston Arena was designed for hockey. The seats behind the basket are farther back than in most arenas. Some teams have difficulty adjusting at first. A team should be ready for it by their third game there.

^Hockey is a great Southern town seems so odd to me.

I don't think we can. That is my understanding. I hope I'm wrong.

That's the perks of being a MM4L. Half rate leadership at all levels.

Seriously. How do we watch this game tonight? I'm about to be livid!
