Interesting that his mom played for the Tribe. I did not know that.

Legacy signings are the best!

This kid looks like a winner. Long, athletic, good pedigree. He and Harvey will look good together.

RE: 2019 Men's Basketball Recruiting - mrjoolius - 11-21-2018 09:23 AM

Doubtful he fits within what the Tribe is targeting in 2019, but I like 2020 target Colin Grainger's teammate PG Mitch Ganote. 6'1, floor general with full control of his team, high assist guy with high scoring potential. Not sure if he has the measurables to succeed at our level, but he looks to have the intangibles in spades. I think we are looking for PG in 2020, not this year. He was his regions player of the year as a junior, but only holds some d2 offers, so there is definitely doubts about his physical readiness. Totally dominating in his few games this season.

If Grainger offered, then maybe could entice Ganote to walk-on next year with possibility of scholly his soph year, if his game translates.

Adams decommits from Towson.

I think he is one of those recruits that blows up his senior season. 1st team all-met in his future.

I wonder if moving the CAA tourney to D.C. will help the Tribe, and others, recruit in the D.C. metro area in the future?

And on a tangential note, and because the whole world revolves around W&M MBB, I wonder if the stir that London seems to be creating around football recruiting might also help with MBB recruiting. After all, athletes know athletes across sporting lines.

My thoughts, exactly. Least I hope so!!

I think our style of play matches up well to the type of game played in AAU. Seeing it live just makes it more obvious. If only we could give away free tickets to the local HS kids.

The arena only seats 4200...giving away free seats might not send best possible message to recruits.

After being down 20 at half, Brown’s Roosevelt team made a game of it and ended up losing by 8 in a high quality and intense public v. private high school showdown.

Here are the highlights and Brown is #3 in white and has a few nice blocks and hits some shots. He is a competitor and having he and Chase intensely D people up on the wings together is going to bring an element we haven’t had in a very very long time especially if LJ can D up the point.

RE: 2019 Men's Basketball Recruiting - mrjoolius - 12-14-2018 07:59 AM

From those highlights, he will fit right in with this team in following the ball and not not keeping track of your man defensively. He will give up a ton of offensive boards if that habit isn't broken. Still excited to have him, just an observation.
