Best top 4 in Sun Belt history? 4 bowl winners, two teams with 10 wins and one with 9. Good year.

RE: Final Power Ratings - Atlanta Trojan - 01-01-2017 06:09 PM

App was the most consistent team in the conference.

1. App (only conference loss was to a healthy Troy team who got ranked day after)
2. Ark stAte (their loss to a not so great ULL team and OOC losses lands them at 2nd)
3. Troy (team peaked with App state and a few key injuries kept this team from winning league late in year)
4. Idaho (no wins over the top 3 keeps them in 4th)
5. ULL
6. USA
7. GS
8. ULM
9. NMSU
10. Ga State
11. Texas state

Ugh another offseason where I can't smack talk, im excited to see how Withers bounces back. Our new Mississippi State QB transfer should really help if we can get our Oline back to being decent.

To bad your kicker was not suspended before the ULL game.

Of course your real problem is a HC that will not address a problem until it does real damage.

Just looking at the bowl game it looks like the solution to the problem was already on the roster.

It is a shame that people will never really know how talented this team was, or just how bad your HC was this year.

And yet another one of your useless posts that served to do nothing but bash Anderson. We get it. You don't like him because he pissed on your Wheaties one morning. 07-coffee3

He does make an interesting point.

His point might have been interesting the first time he posted it. But when he makes the same post over a dozen times his point sorta gets lost along the way.

This looks about right to me. Good bowl season will hopefully raise the Belt profile a little. Need to show well OOC next year and keep improving. Next year I see a lot of dangerous teams and a good addition coming in in CCU. (another fun road trip too)!04-cheers

What have we got here a Trump rule that we have a limit on how often the truth can be posted, before you abandon it and just say what ever the people want to hear.

Posters here did not like hearing they they had the most talented roster of players to cobble a team out of either.

Fact is with any other FBS coach in AMERICA A-State would have beaten UCA, Utah State, and ULL, that is how bad Blake Anderson was this year.

A-State fan's were complaining that their kicker was killing them, and that was before he actually ended up costing them the outright SBC Championship.

What most did not know, at least until their bowl game, was that the answer was on the roster.

What else is obvious is that their HC is an immature, arrogant, jerk, who does not like being questioned about his frequently bad decisions, and responds buy only acting when there has been real damage, and trying to pass the blame to others.

Don't get me wrong most FBS hed coaches are arrogant prick's but most realize that winning and only winning allow them to get away with it.

I really wish we knew what he did to you. For someone who is not a fan of the team this obsession is unhealthy.

RE: Final Power Ratings - TroyFootball05 - 01-02-2017 07:27 PM

Probably had more to do with new quarterbacks and other transfers needing time to gel. Not even A-State can reload quality players year after year without some sort of adjustment period.

I'm starting to agree with his assessment of Anderson. I'm seeing a lot of Coach Roberts in him too.

RE: Final Power Ratings - sdcritter - 01-02-2017 08:26 PM

I don't normally do these things but...

1. App
2. Troy
3. Arkansas State
4. Idaho
T5. ULL
T5. USA
7. GS
8. ULM
9. GAST
10. NMSU
11. TXST

I hate to not rank my guys second but I think the overall schedule shows Troy deserving of that ranking. Don't get me wrong. The guys at stAte made one hell of a finish to one crappy start and they did skull drag Troy at home. On the other hand, Tory fought tooth and nail with a P5 that is going to play for a national championship. I don't see stAte being a contender in that game. Thus, I give them nod.

I'll now don my flameproof suit.
