Pitino charged by NCAA - billymac - 10-20-2016 12:05 PM In a bit of a surprise twist, Louisville got no charges over the recent sex scandal, but Coach Rick Pitino was charged with "not monitoring" his staff. He may have to miss 5-10 games for the transgression. That might take him out of our game (don't know how much that would really affect the outcome of a game, but it is interesting). http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/17839841/rick-pitino-louisville-cardinals-coach-charged-failure-monitor-basketball-program RE: Pitino charged by NCAA - NC Tribe - 10-20-2016 01:12 PM (10-20-2016 12:05 PM)billymac Wrote: In a bit of a surprise twist, Louisville got no charges over the recent sex scandal, but Coach Rick Pitino was charged with "not monitoring" his staff. Look at how Syracuse did with and without Boeheim, or at least I hope it follows the same pattern, then the Tribe could beat Louisville again in the final four. RE: Pitino charged by NCAA - tribe_pride - 10-20-2016 08:39 PM Penalties won't be imposed until next Spring likely. Louisville (Pitino) has 90 days to respond to the charges and then the NCAA has 60 days to review. RE: Pitino charged by NCAA - bubbadog57 - 10-23-2016 11:51 AM A humiliating and unforgivable travesty at Louisville. The entire program should be set down for a year. The idea that Pitino was unaware of what was going on is ludicrous--coaches like Pitino know when one of their players has a hangnail! But, of course, the NCAA will do little. Pitino charged by NCAA - ocfrank - 10-23-2016 05:09 PM It's a race to the bottom between Pitino and Calipari for the ambassador for what's wrong with college basketball. Both low life white trash. RE: Pitino charged by NCAA - WMInTheBurg - 10-24-2016 06:57 AM Calipari is completely up front with the players he recruits. For all his recruits, their (mostly realistic) goal is the NBA, and he gives them a clear path to achieve that goal. He sets clear expectations for what will get a player more playing time and advises them about whether they should declare for the draft in any given year with the player's interest in mind. You could do a lot worse as a coach. Pitino charged by NCAA - ocfrank - 10-27-2016 06:52 PM I think that Calipari coached teams have the results of well over 100 games erased by the NCAA Pitino charged by NCAA - ocfrank - 10-27-2016 06:58 PM In the doing bad things arena. Darren Sharper gets an additional 8 years. That makes 26. Thats a long time. I wonder how much time he will serve? Any of you legal beagles have a clue? I have no idea how long he has to serve given all the different jurisdictions involved. |
