RE: #ProDukes - fishingduke12 - 10-26-2020 07:08 PM

I saw that the Cowboys are unlikely to sign a FA QB since they wouldnt be able to play due to COVID protocols. Not sure if that applies to trading for a Qb on a current roster but it's looking likely that he'll get the start sunday.

Because they want to stay in good graces with the hopes of signing Prescott to a long-term deal, I don't see them trading for a Stafford or Ryan or the like. I really think Nooch has his shot to make a name for himself here. Keeping in mind, he's not the long-term hope or strategy for Dallas. Prescott is. However, Nooch is trying out for 32 clubs right now, not just his current team. A lot of things have fallen right for him to get his chance.

Unfortunately for him, his protection is going to be weak and opposing teams are going to blitz him like crazy. Let's face it, he's going to take some hits. Perhaps a lot of hits. When he scrambles and goes to running, hopefully he will slide and not get cheap shots taken on him like Bostic did yesterday to Dalton.

It wasn’t a throwaway, that bad throw was due to the weather, poor grip and he slipped.

Twitter traffic is mostly, "Who the hell is Ben DiNucci?" But, there are a few gems like this one.... https://twitter.com/ajonline22/status/1320444920071671808

And, I believe that pass to Cooper got the attention of McCarthy and the Jones'. Cooper was a step from taking that one for huge yardage, possibly to the house.

It was a good/bad throw in that regard. He got it in a tight window to Cooper but had he led him by a half yard instead of hitting his back shoulder he could have gone at least an extra 10-15 yards (or more). Cooper had to slow up for that one. Still it was a great throw into double coverage and he did a good job of looking off the check down receiver to make that happen.

It was a good throw and where it was supposed to be. If he leads him a bit more the safety who was deeper may have been able to get there and make a play on the ball.

Ben could throw a ball that traveled 100 yards in the air, left handed, while being sacked, in the snow, to a guy that has all eleven defenders covering him, while wearing a COVID mask, with five broken fingers on his hand, and it goes for a score and there would still be people on this board that criticize the throw and/or think he shouldn’t have been our starting QBS last year

Hahaha yup.

I wasn't complaining. And before you throw me into the hater crowd go back and you'll find I was one of his biggest supporters from the beginning. As I said it was a "bad" good throw from an NFL level. Move that ball forward 3 feet and it is potentially a touchdown like Purple said. He still did a good job to get it in there with a cover 2 and did well to check down and look off the corner in the zone, but if an NFL QB coach is going to review the tape they will tell him that next time put it out another few feet to hit the receiver in stride. Do that and his stats are 1/1 75yds, 1 TD. It's a game of inches.

Somewhat lost in the shuffle of Ben and Jimmy Skins vs. Boys is that Raven had arguably one of his best days as a professional.

TOT SOLO SACKS TFL PD QB HTS TD
Raven Greene 8 5 0 0 2 0 0

LMAO! Yep! You get it. Cooper didn't score 37 points on the pass, thus Nooch sucks! It gets tiring, actually.

Of course a QB coach will say that. But there is only so much within the realm of possibility and probability. In the real world, perfection doesn't exist, but it is nice to talk about and keeps QB coaches employed.

I like how Ben quickly turned his shoulders to the right toward the receiver that was doing the short curl out (who was open) which froze the DB (#23) so Cooper could gain separation.

Didn’t see anyone post this or Greg Madia surprisingly but it looks like Rashad Robinson is on the Generals roster for The Spring League. He had a interception in the 4th to ice the game. Hope he gets his shot somewhere. It always seemed like he had the talent and is a sharp kid but never got his shot because of injury along and COVID.

RE: #ProDukes - DukeQuin - 10-28-2020 11:32 AM

Per Andrew Siciliano of NFL.com, Andy Dalton is still in the concussion protocol, so Ben DiNucci it is.

RE: #ProDukes - Bawlmer Duke - 10-28-2020 11:41 AM

Cowboys traded Everson Griffin (DE) and are likely to cut Dontari Poe (DT).

Ron'Dell on the DNP inactive list every week for the Colts

Yes, that was an awesome fake! I've been saying that the stars align often for talented, though obscure, quarterbacks in Dallas, that Nooch was and is in the perfect place, and that he is as talented as any quarterback on the Cowboys roster, including Dakota Prescott.

I am praying for a great game for Nooch in Philly this weekend.... if the town isn't burnt to the ground by then.

RE: #ProDukes - Dukester - 10-29-2020 07:44 AM

Ben looked fantastic completing 2/3' of his passes. Decent QB rating, and with little practice.

Give me the Eagles -9. 03-lmfao

RE: #ProDukes - formerjmusprinter84 - 10-29-2020 09:16 AM

Hopefully they have or will add a few RPO plays for Ben
