This shouldn't be hard. If you can cheer for Chapman, you can cheer for punks. Plus, we've been able to see a lot of those punks play here in Durham. The alternative is pull for confessed cheaters.

I hate Atlanta, but still would rather see them advance than LA. Atlanta/TB may not have the national interest of LA/Houston, but I that is what I'm pulling for.

Not the biggest Chapman fan and hated the re-signing, so there is that. But yeah, I'm on board with Tampa/ATL. What ATL has managed to do after losing their ACE early in the season has been remarkable

Kershaw should forever be known as the ball less wonder. This guy disappears every single postseason for one reason or another.

I'm pulling for the Rays in the WS, mostly out of jealousy. The Dodgers are what I thought Chicago was going to be in 2016, so my only solace is in them falling just short in the playoffs.

Do the Dodgers go with no nutz in game one?

Blind squirrel find a nut. I could have literally said this 49 other times outta 50 and been right. I'm glad he found it, hopefully he gets another shot as well. If he could have another solid performance in a closeout game, it would be huge for the naysayers.

He's too good of a pitcher to have postseason numbers as bad as they are.

"Now we've got a series!" I heard this phrase several times last night and today and it seems really disrespectful to TB. Rays were down 1-0 and I understand that they're dogs, but I find it really odd that people were surprised they won a game. I'd bet on LA, but this isn't a situation where the outcome is inevitable (like we saw in the NBA finals).

You know how it is, it's all about effect.
I agree with you, especially with LA going with a bullpen game in game 2, just silly.

Another solid out by Kershaw. Good for him!

Congratulations to LA. Shortened season and all, that is a great team. Stacked and primed to continue dominating the NL for years to come.

"The Rays have acquired first baseman/outfielder Jose Martinez, outfielder Randy Arozarena, and the Cardinals’ Competitive Balance Round A draft pick in exchange for left-handed pitching prospect Matthew Liberatore, the Rays’ pick in Competitive Balance Round B, and a catching prospect from the lower levels of the minors, ESPN.com’s Jeff Passan report."

I hope Arozarena goes on to win multiple MVPs on his way to a HOF career.

3 WS appearances in 4 years and 8 straight NL West titles is pretty dominant...

Agree, thus the phrase "continue dominating"

Yep, they finally got the money off their back. Division titles and even NL pennant don't mean jack in the grand scheme.

Cash deserves all the criticism he's getting. Analytics needs to be a factor in decision making, it doesn't need to be THE decision maker. Even someone with no baseball knowledge at all could see Snell was dealing and absolutely dominating. Yet, after giving up only his second hit, 73 pitches, and the next three guys coming up all of whom had K'ed TWICE each in 6 ABs, he gets the hook. I was listening to the Dodgers radio feed at the time they were going nuts. " The Dodgers thank you Mr. Nash". Common sense HAS to take over, sadly this is the way baseball is trending and it makes me really sad.

Division titles and pennants alone don't mean much if you never bring win it all, but they become more significant when they're part of a discussion that includes titles.

I agree Nash deserves criticism and Mookie said their dugout was glad to see him lifted. Just doesn't make sense to me that managers are looking for reasons to pull pitchers. How quick was he out of the dugout on a one-out single? It was an awful decision.

You guys mean Kevin Cash... not Nash.

Agree, add a few titles to the mix and the rest of the trophies matter more. Agree also about looking for reasons to pull pitchers. He was quick out of the dugout, seems it was decided before. And i can imagine the Dodgers were glad, Snell was absolutely dealing

Kick off the off season discussion here. Solid read with predictions on where the FA will land. Any wishes for your teams?

For the record, it that were to prove true for the Yankees off season, not really adding much and losing DJ...... That would be worth someone going postal in that inept front office!

It's a rough time to be an Astros fan. George Springer and Michael Brantley are headed out as free agents. Justin Verlander is injured, and heading to an all-Kate-Upton schedule (not a bad thing). Gerritt Cole, oh wait, he's a Yankee. Jose Altuve developed throwing yips during the playoffs, after struggling to hit .200 most of the season. Yep, dark days are ahead.
