An article that is today's Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/recruiting-insider/wp/2015/09/09/mcnamaras-sam-green-to-play-basketball-at-drexel/

Now a senior, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound Green still stands tall, only he does so at a number of spots on the floor, thanks to the development in his game made necessary by his previous predicament.

“I had to expand my game and my range because I couldn’t just overpower people anymore,” Green said. “Now I can play pretty much anywhere and feel comfortable.”

That versatility was evident to Drexel’s coaching staff after seeing Green play with his D.C. Thunder AAU team at the adidas Gauntlet in July. To them, the swingman possessed both the size and scoring ability to stretch the floor, a component that teams at all levels are leaning on more of late. And for Green, the feeling was mutual, leading the Mustangs senior to commit to Drexel this month.

“After picking up the offer, I started doing more research on the school and realized how great they were academically, too,” Green said. “They saw the role they wanted me to take and I saw myself adapting as a good fit on their team.”

Last season, Green averaged 9.4 points for a McNamara team that notched several big wins against area contenders like DeMatha and National Christian. Green’s versatility as a face-up scorer and rebounder at both forward positions played a big role in their 20-win season while helping make the Mustangs a team to watch this winter.

That excitement was evident during a recent Saturday open gym, when Green shared the news of his commitment with his team.
