I've been lectured for complimenting Tanksley without viewing his film. Can anyone give me (us) a rundown and thoughts on Scott?

From what I understand: Scott is a 6'7'' forward that can play both the 3/4 spots. He is a good rebounder and has a decent handle. I think he projects to a 3 man at the college level, however at this point in college basketball outside of the point guard the rest of the positions distinctions are blurred. Haven't seen too much footage on him but I do know the staff has had him as the primary target for a while, which is good enough for me!!! Shows this isn't a guy they just settled for!!!!!!!!

I trust the staff, but not a very impressive offer list. Most of those programs are bottom third of their respective conferences.

HoopSeen @hoopseen · 9h
Tre Scott may be a sleeper to #Cincy fans, but we think the #Bearcats got a steal. STORY from him w/ quotes: http://www.hoopseen.com/index.php/news/headlines/item/1541-scott-ends-it-picks-cincy

Justin Young @JustinDYoung · 10h
Cincy fans: I'm a big Tre Scott fan. Watched him closely for the last 2 years. Have him No. 7 in GA. Great motor, very consistent.

Justin Young @JustinDYoung · 10h
@ChadBrendel I know a lot of Cincy fans are asking "who" tonight and I get that. Not a lot of ppl have seen him. He can play. A lot of tools

Are we really still worried about offer lists and/or stars with Mick's recruiting. Mick can find talent. Period. I trust him over any recruiting site and the majority of coaches. End of story.

@vabearcat, would you be excited about a kid with the following offer list?:

Charlotte
East Carolina
Maryland
Miami, FL
North Carolina State
North Carolina-Wilmington
Old Dominion
Ole Miss
Pittsburgh
Radford
Richmond
UNC Greensboro
Virginia Commonwealth
Wake Forest
Wichita State
Xavier

Tre lives in a small coastal town tucked between Savannah and Brunswick in Georgia.

Could be the reason why not on a lot of lists...yet.

We have a winner. Some solid tourney teams. No blue bloods. Taking a look at that list, would anyone have guessed that it belonged to a consensus top 100 player? i wouldn't have. That said, i can't think of a single incoming recruit that has electrified banter since Born Ready. The write ups on Gary Clark indicated that his big move into the top 100 was propelled by a strong SR year. Hopefully Tre Scott makes a similar move.

He told me a few years back that the only reason Satterfield become an All American is him pushing the guys from Scout on how great Kenny was. He does not believe in any of the ratings services and will recruit whom he thinks can play. I'm perfectly okay with his recruiting.

On this all should agree.
