New FCS team Abeliene Christian is beating FBS Georgia State 30-21 going into the 4th Quarter and are on the Georgia State 40. Haha. Remember when Georgia State was going to dominate the CAA.
ACU QB is 23-30 with 3 TDs for 337 yards.

If you could bring yourself to watch it, the game had a great 4th quarter. And by great I mean Georgia State's QB had to make up for some really dumb moves by everyone else to pull out the win.

He did play well but had his own mistake in the 4th (or was it the end of the 3rd) where he was way late on a pass for an INT as Georgia State was driving. Good for them to get a win even if it is against ACU since they had none last year so they needed this.

Stony Brook lost at home vs Bryant 13-7. If you're concerned about our QB situation, SBU's two tossers went 7-20 for 101 yards and 61 of that was on one play. This is a team that recently gobbled up a bunch of FBS transfers.

Now 17-14 'Cuse with a full quarter remaining. I don't know about you guys but I hate watching our CAA foes or any FCS program beat FBS teams. It gives our CAA competition a leg up for the coveted 8 wins and it really boosts a FCS team's standing in the polls...neither is good for W&M.

I like the CAA wins over the FBS squads because it makes us look better when we beat them.
Syracuse QB got ejected when he threw a punch some point in the 1st half. Nova down 17-14 with about 9 to go and are driving at about the Cuse 10.

Nova is about a minute away from pulling the upset.
Wow, Nova had the ball on the 'Cuse 9 yard line but penalties pushed them back and it looks like they missed a game wining FG. OT.

So not sure what is going to happen in this game but the kicker will cost them minimum 1 game this season and could cost them a championship run unless something happens. By the way, made a 25 yarder and missed 25 (in last 15 seconds) and 34 yarder.

Nova's stud QB, Robertson, has over 100 yards rushing. He had a grand total of 3 offers coming out of HS...Nova, JMU, and UNH.
Cuse had 1st and goal on the 1 and had to settle for a FG. 20-20

Man, Cuse stuffed again on the 1 foot line then faked a FG and scored a TD with a pass from their punter/holder. Nova has to score a TD or it's over. Nova's defense is exceptional. What a game.

Eff me, Nova scored a TD and went for two. Robertson faked a screen and ran it up the middle. Cuse wins 27-26 in 2OT. You can catch the replay on ESPN3.
Hats off to Villanova - Fordham is going to have their hands full next week.

Rolled the dice and lost...wouldn't have agreed with that call whether they had made it or not....
Villanova looked good at times, but leaves some nice seeds of doubt for them to deal with mentally the rest of the season....

The call was because they don't trust the kicker. Wouldn't be surprised with a new one next week. Not sure I would've done it but I have no problem with the 2 point call. It needed to be a better play call though.

Yup. Was very much like the 2 point we went for against JMU two years ago. I'm fine with going for 2, didn't love the specific call at all.

The only thing it had in common with our 2 point play against JMU is that it failed. The Villanova play was a true qb draw. The W&M play against JMU was the say exact play we ran against Richmond the year before at the end of the game for the win. Unfortunately, at JMU the tight end was covered up and forced Ortiz to take off and try to make a play.

That play has the option of throwing to the TE or the WR in the back of the end zone Coach briefly explained the play after the UR game at The QB Club. This play was used against URI for a two point conversion earlier. BTW the tight end swore he was open against JMU
