How dare you! EPL is best top to bottom.

I don't care where it ranks. I enjoy watching. This year with Suarez on pace to tie the goals in a season record for a 42 game season and probably break the now current 38 game season record and potentially do it playing on 33 games is an added bonus.

Don't remind me. I'm a United fan. 03-banghead

Being FBS lets you schedule games no FCS team can. I love to read the post from App and Georgia Southern fans talking about home and home deals with other FBS teams.

JMU should be happy the Sun Belt is offering them a chance to play at the highest level in college football. JMU can win all the FCS titles they want and less than 30% of college football fans will know who they are. JMU will have more games on national TV in one season in the Belt than 5 years of in the FCS. Heck Georgia Southern has already gotten national TV games at home there first season in the Belt. One of those TV games is against App St who also will be playing there first season of FBS in the Belt.

Well, regarding TV, we had 3 on national TV last year, and over 5 since 2012.

But, your point stands. FCS is not followed outside of FCS schools.

Were those TV games on ESPN last year? I watch college football all day every Saturday and not once did I see an JMU game. When I say national TV, I means a Thursday night game on ESPN against another FBS team during primetime!

National on NBC Sports on Saturdays. Some primetime included, but 2nd rate network.

I remember it being quite a coup for an FCS league to sign such a deal with NBCSN for FB and BB. How long is that deal? I wonder if the deal will be renewed as ODU, VCU, GaSt, Mason, and UMass football leaving since the deal was signed. I really think a lot of it was to capitalize on Mason and VCU basketball. The CAA was a trendy BB league at the time.

My guess is the deal will be renewed. The CAA probably gets $0 out of it, and NBC Sports needs programming.

If my math is right, there are 4 schools vying for one Sun Belt FBS slot; JMU, Missouri St., UMass and Liberty. That's a lot of suitors for one belle.

Question. Why would the Sun Belt go to 13 by inviting both JMU and Missouri St.?

It's being blocked by my work's firewall; what the jist of it? thanks.

If it just says that Idaho and the Sun Belt have an open ended agreement, then that is just standard operating procedure unless I hear otherwise.

Top to bottom I think it's more competitive than La Liga. Atletico, Real and Barcelona are playing a different level of soccer than anyone else there.
BPL down the stretch this season is going to be very interesting.

West Bromwich Albion? Swansea? Cardiff City?

In contrast, Valladolid (one spot from relegation) beat Barca a few weeks back. There are also more La Liga sides advancing further in the two European competition than any other league (that's the top 6 teams from last year for the uninitiated).

Just for fun, the CL is down to 4. Two from Spain, one from England....and the eventual champs, again, Bayern Munich.

Yeah and Crystal Palace (also pretty close to relegation) just beat Chelsea recently...Don't forget that Man U hung around with Bayern for 150 minutes as well.

Essentially the SBC and Idaho have a four year agreement running through 2017-18 for football-only membership. That membership is subject to review at the end of the 2015-16 season. At which time, Idaho's agreement can be extended/terminated. 13 is an option because Idaho won't be around that long.

Hey now, take the professional association rules football talk elsewhere.

Hush your mouth talking about Swansea. My swans decided to stink it up all year just to see how few points we needed to stay safe.

Crystal Palace beat Chelsea because John Terry scored an own goal.

it was a 5-year deal.

2013 was year 2. Still 3 more to go. And NBCSN has already said they will honor the contract despite the defections.

JMU had 3 games nationally televised the in 2012 and 2013 on NBCSN. 3 were at home, 3 away.

On a side note...when Crystal Palace's supporters sing "Glad All Over" when the players take the field, it's awesome. One of the better atmospheres in the FA.

Which kind of football is this thread about?

At the end of that 5 years....good luck. Outside of JMU the CAA had very little to offer TV audiences now. A lot of small private schools with small alumni bases. Lost your best Bball programs.

That's going to be hard to do, especially with so many under age 25 saying soccer is their second favorite after the NFL.
