Sun Belt basketball tournament - MobileBama - 12-28-2013 11:27 AM

Just saw that the championship game is Sunday at noon. Being a Thursday - Sunday tournament in New Orleans will definitely make for a better attended tournament. Great move by the Sun Belt!

How many of you are planning on attending?

I am, about 18 minutes to the arena from my driveway, and 18 minutes to climb the ramps. My advise is get lower section seating, or bring a portable oxygen mask. You might also want to check your tires for deep threads, as the last time I was there a lot of the parking lot was still limestone.

I'll be coming. I expect a decent WKU showing even if we are 9-11 hrs away

Correct. I think they try and reserve a few seats right behind the bench for officials at various schools and wealthy donors, but that's it.

I'm looking forward to coming to N.O . I liked the setup for watching games in Hot Springs but the off time was boring as hell

I could go if UTA makes it to the championship game again this year.

Hotel rates are ridiculously high and a lot are already booked. Looks like a convention and St. Patrick celebrations that weekend.

I'll bet our esteemed commissioner Benson locked up a couple thousand rooms at preferential prices. I mean he has done such a stellar job of securing bowl bids for every bowl eligible team.
