Clemson and Troy will play Sept. 10, 2016, both schools announced Wednesday.
This will be the second game between the two schools. Clemson overcame a 16-13 halftime deficit to beat Troy 43-19 in the 2011 season opener at Clemson.
Clemson earlier announced it would play Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia State and Coastal Carolina as non-conference opponents in 2014. Two of the non-conference games in 2015 are Notre Dame and South Carolina.

Yeah, we posted this previously. Actually they are the 3rd closest FBS school to us after GT and GA. Would expect us to take a huge crowd.

Very nice for the Panthers. That is a short trip up 85 to see a pretty cool stadium and program.

Gonna be hard pressed to host Clemson. They gain nothing really by traveling to Atlanta because they're already quite visible in that market. Ga State will need some schools from further away that want to gain penetration into Georgia for marketing/recruiting purposes.
Clemson is a destination I really want to hit. Good OOC game for the Panthers.

We are waiting for that as well. Not sure why our AD cant get that done especially when I see who South has on future schedules coming to Ladd and UTSA has coming to a much less impressive dome.

It is an unwritten rule that FCS teams don't travel to D2 programs, but that didn't stop G-State from doing it... and taking a loss in the process.

My gawd some of you have issues with everything we do. The Chatty game was signed before we even received an invite. We arent going to Chatty. Will get bought out or will turn into them coming down again.
