Booster Club Donations in the Sun Belt - JTApps1 - 07-08-2013 02:34 PM

I'm curious to see how much the booster clubs at other Sun Belt schools raise to help pay for scholarships each year. App's club (Yosef Club) passed the $3 Mil mark this year so I thought it would be interesting to see how we compare to the rest of the league.

Our Bobcat Club brochure gives some amounts

http://www.txstatebobcatclub.com/brochure2013.aspx

Texas St - $900,000
Arkansas St - $1,350,000
WKU - $2,700,000
USA - $720,000

RE: Booster Club Donations in the Sun Belt - slycat - 07-08-2013 03:03 PM

Texas St made zero effort in this front until maybe 3 years ago. The number of donors and amount has risen dramatically since then. The prior group running the program was wasteful and it turned a lot of people away. BC has been in damaged control mode and is turning it around.

Apps was only $650,000 in 2005. We raised that much this year in the month we announced the SBC move.

RE: Booster Club Donations in the Sun Belt - JMU2004 - 07-08-2013 04:05 PM

JMU is about $2.1 million. Kind of stalled due to the inaction regarding our conference affiliation.

I believe Georgia Southern's is somewhere in the 1.5-1.8 million range.

Needless to say would be really helpful in beating the other G5 conferences to get these
amounts up. Hard to give to a booster club and not attend some games also.

This is WVU Mountaineer, this used to be the look of our App State Yosef Mountaineer.
Would like to see us go back to this, and put our cartoon character into the stands for the kids.

The last Real Yosef 1982

as a maverick club member for many years I remember many donors including myself scaling way back or dropping completely out when the school cut the football program..not sure whether the fund raising has increased or not.

Couldn't open your attachment.

Couldn't open it. What about in 1964, 1969 ?
What you remember is not my memories of Yosef when a real person.
Would like to see your attachment though.

RE: Booster Club Donations in the Sun Belt - GoApps70 - 07-08-2013 08:56 PM

See you changed it.
You have got to be kidding. Yosef with a tie?
Wearing bib overalls? What kind of Yosef is that?

The persons playing Yosef did a lot of unusual dress schemes but never saw that one.
Never liked the one year they did a clean cut Yosef either.
I would want the WVU example.

As long as we are showing crappy Yosefs.

"The Yosef Club surpassed the $3 million mark for the first time due in large part a single-month-record $603,300 in donations in April. The single-month record came in the first full month after Appalachian State athletics announced that it accepted an invitation to join the Sun Belt Conference and NCAA Division I FBS on July 1, 2014."

FBS already paying off.

Saw the attached on another website, and although it is documented to show recruiting budgets, it also shows contributions.

RE: Booster Club Donations in the Sun Belt - GoApps70 - 07-09-2013 01:00 AM

Here is a new FBS survey. Obviously must have some mistakes in it since
it shows Arkansas State with a little over $84,000 in donations.
