If you replaced the white outline on the star and letter with red, it'd look pretty dead on UConn, I bet.

experimenting with that ECU A.

Got the PMS red color #? I can do it. Without the official color, I would only be stabbing in the dark.

I think on fields, a lot of schools may use white. Tulane, for instance -- our field is green, so a White A with a green star peeking through (i.e., the field) would look pretty good. Much better than another shade of green on top of the grass.

Agree, I think your original Memphis one needs a color change.

What color is that in the Tiger stripes on the Memphis logo on the American website?

Orange, not an official school color. And not the Tiger gold that is used mostly on print material, or as trim (not as a primary color). Our colors are blue and gray, and UConn's are blue and white, I think.

Just clarifying, not complaining. I appreciate all your efforts. 04-cheers

Well, there is a "Gold/Orange" color used in the logo on the American website, and no gray... I can only go by the colors supplied to me. As far as I can tell, UCONN'S logo also uses a red in their logo. But that color was not given to me... But you guys will have to fight this out to resolve it. I am doing this for fun, so I can really say, "I don't get paid enough for this sh*t." :-)

Basically the UofM requests the use of pantone colors 280 for blue and 877 for gray. When 877 isn't available, 423 is the alternate for gray.

As TripleA said, thanks for your efforts! 04-cheers

Get the gold out of the Memphis one. We all know the Colors that will be displayed are blue/grey and maybe some black.

Not sure what you're saying here, however, if UCF goes with just that 'A' on the field it's going to look like they are supporting our military or something. If you're somehow adding more to the 'A', then ok.

RE: "A" Logo with School colors... - UConn-SMU - 05-31-2013 08:45 AM

Actually, the best (most accurate) UConn logo would be if the star was white with a silver border. Navy and white are our two primary colors. Silver and (occasionally) red are very minor accent colors.

Thanks for doing all this.

RE: "A" Logo with School colors... - Maize - 05-31-2013 09:49 AM

The Logo is basically the old American Football League Logo...main difference is the old AFL Logo was red not blue...

RE: "A" Logo with School colors... - Leargh! - 05-31-2013 11:20 AM

ok... I updated the logos. Some minor changes on some. I really just set a new template to make changing the colors easier, which may make your logo a little different than before.

Memphis and UCONN, Let me know how those work for you...

Thanks.

I really appreciate the efforts, they look great. If you are bored, feel free to put together some alternative. For example on Tulane, white A with green start, blue A with Green star, maybe the current green A with blue star + some additional white lining/accent. Thanks.

Now Memphis looks like Tulsa. Let's make it simple, Memphis is blue and gray, has been for almost a century. If it looks like another school, so be it, they are popular school colors, but they are blue and gray. If you take away the names, every Memphis fan will think their logo is the UConn one and will never pick the Memphis one with gold in it because we do not relate that color to the school in any way.

Are we looking at the same logos? Memphis IS blue and Grey, and Tulsa is blue and gold. Have you refreshed your page? What am I missing?

Let me say first of all that I and all the fans of the conference appreciate the time and work you have put in on this . Second ,please dont mistake our comments as complaints we just have sort of a big hang up about our colors. I love the enthusiasm and get going attitude you have. It is very indicative of your fans and school. Last I still belive ECU to be a great add to this conference . Keep doing what you all do and fly that finger to the power 5.

That's odd, I refreshed it a couple of times before commenting, checked it again after reading this and...it seems to have updated now. My apologies.

No problem. I was just starting to get confused, then I remembered the refresh issues I see sometimes. Didn't want to make a change from what was allready correct.

Thanks for the kind words. I do not take offense to constructive criticism. I usually thrive on it. I, too, am picky when it comes to Pirate purple and gold, so I don't mind people chiming in with concerns. If so, I just would't do it.

As far as flying my finger to the Power Five, I live in the damn heart of ACC country, so I will need many more fingers than the 2 I have, but I do use the 2 I have to maximum effect!
