Well, let me rephrase it: I hope not looking like that. If the lettering had gold outlining and some gold on Blaze, then I'd be okay with it. As it stands, that doesn't look right to me.

I don't like the new font they are using or the 'flames' that are in the letters.
Luckily, the uniforms won't decide whether we win or lose.

The white helmet sucks.
Stay with the Gold. We cant get any traditon started even in losing because everyone keeps changing things to put thier stamp on the team.
I actually liked the uniforms that we had when callaway left. The all green is ok, but I just want us to stick with one thing and hopefully one of those will be winning pretty soon.

This is a very good point. The uniform variants are cool to see and sell merchandise but building tradition is critical for UAB.

The original white helmet design with the green stripe and large dragon was better imho. That said, it's been about 10 years since we had a winning record, and that winning record ruined christmas when we laid a brown in the Hawaii Bowl. Just win... We can come out in white helmets, tartan kilts and blouses, and I wont give a flying frack as long as we get the W.

I remember on NCAA 2005 or 2006 UAB had white helments with the large dragon logo that were pretty awesome.

The only tradition we need is winning, fans scream tradition but kids care tradition...note the Notre Dame basketball uniforms...what was that, and what said tradition more then Notre Dame...
White Helmet, Green or Gold....Doesnt matter...all look good when the Blazers run onto the Field...

Whichever uniform combination that we are wearing when we win our 1st conference championship and bowl game are the uniforms that we should stick with. Uniforms aren't tradition they are a part of tradition because they earn the right to belong. Every year I buy a new piece of game day attire searching for the right jersey, hat, t-shirt, or sweatshirt (sometimes wearing it all) to assist UAB in winning. The piece that I buy the year we win the conference championship and bowl game will be the piece I wear thereafter.
